Cook donated land for what would become one of downtown's primary business districts - First National Bank Building (now One Ford Center). It wasn't until 1830 that village form would occur with two stores, one schoolhouse and four homes established within it; one year later the name would be changed to "Auburn Heights." In 1893 the City fathers decided that they did not want their new city located near Wayne State University so they annexed neighboring communities such as Southfield and Midland which were all growing rapidly at that time with no need for a separate city services/facilities such as water or sewers etc., but rather pooled resources into building sewerage systems which are still in use today! In 1916 construction began on what became known as "The Madison" - a 1 block long movie palace designed by architect Burton Hennig which featured an outdoor theater complete with vaudeville show acts during its heyday from 1916-1930. That same year also saw the opening of Ford Motor Company’s Rouge Plant adjacent to downtown where Production Manager Harry Fisher developed Ford’s local option cars model E through Z (sold throughout North America). It wasn't until 1954 whenowntown traffic congestion caused Eisenhower street between Red Wing Ave & Woodward Ave intersection to close down indefinitely making it difficult for people travelling eastbound & westbound to cross downtown without going around blocks & blocks up I-75! :-( However Cadillac plant managers were able to develop this into an excellent business opportunity with intraplant car sales reaching over $2 million per month before finally shutting down in 1957 due largely to federal highway funding cuts :( ). In 1963 following enactment of Congressional Joint Resolution No 1085 entitled “Aussies In Michigan: A History Of Our State” Mayor Jens Finch proposed creating an Institute Of Technology (IOT) To serve both community college students & professional training programs looking forward to opportunities for economic growth in our state thru technological advances thru research MEDIA TECHNOLOGY!
