Firearms were used by the military and hunters throughout much of the world and continue to be used today. There are many different designs and types of target pistols, shotguns, rifles, handguns and more. The first targets that could be effectively shot at were small wooden beats or posts about 24 inches long with a top that was about 18 inches off the ground. These targets could only be hit if you knew where the post was located and had good aim. The next step was development of a target pistol that could shoot metal balls instead of Wooden balls. This allowed people to take their target shooting seriously from a distance and also improved accuracy because now you could control where the ball was going to go. Once metal balls became available, developers started creating better designed guns that could shoot them accurately at distances up to 100 yards using iron sights on an outdoor rifle or shotgun – which is still possible today using modern equipment! In 1865, Dr John Browning invented his famous “Browning Rifle” which became widely successful in World War I thanks to its Accuracy/Range ability! Ann Arbor, Michigan is a city located in the U.S. state of Michigan and is the county seat of Washtenaw County. It was founded on November 3, 1817 by John Claflin and named after Annapolis, Maryland, where his father had been born. The city has had five mayors and 40 residents have served as mayor since its incorporation. As of the 2010 census it had a population of 66,471. The first area that was settled in what is now Ann Arbor were two small Indian villages: One near present-day University Avenue and one near Ottawa Street. In 1795, British explorer George Mitchell explored the lower Peninsula region which included what is now Ann Arbor and he called it "Nashoba" because he found no favorable sites for settlement there. In 1798, French traders Pierre François Du Pont and Samuel de Champlain discovered land across from modern day Ann Arbor on the Rouge River opposite Detroit; this became known as Marquette's Land because Jean-Baptiste LaFontaine claimed it for France in 1796 while on an exploring trip to the Great Lakes region with General Marquette's Expedition under Lieutenant Colonel Christopher Mackenzie. After negotiations failed to establish titles or ownership for this land, Du Pont sold it to James Watt for $2,500 in 1804. The town site was primarily surveyed by Captain John Lillie who laid out streets gridlarly before submitting his findings to local dignitaries on November 3, 1817 - three days after Annapolis became a town in addition to Washtenaw County following ratification of the United States Constitution by Congress on October 12th (9 days after its creation). A fire destroyed most of downtown Washtenaw City on April 5th, 1861 during an attack by Confederate forces during the American Civil War; however construction began immediately on a new courthouse complex within weeks that still stands today (one block east of present day State Street). On December 14th – less than one year after Washington Davis became Mayor – Drury Lane opened as Professor Claflin's Medical School at University College; becoming one of only four medical schools open nationwide at that time (the others being Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore and Columbia University's New York School of Medicine). This accomplished not onlyhelpingtoprovidemedicalcareforthepeopleofAnnArborbutalsoopeningthe doortoanew eraofmedicalprogressinMichiganandAmerica]. One resultofAnnArbors early prominence was its growth into a major commercial center; several large businesses were established here including Woolworths (now Walmart), Armoury & Company (now Allstate), Cook Brothers Furniture company(now JCPenney) and Belle Isle Naval Shipyard co-founded by Admiral David Dixon Porter with help from Rear Admiral Amos Storrs..
