In 1849, a group of young men in Ann Arbor, Michigan, set out to create the world’s first bullet. They were inspired by the successful efforts of artillerymen during the War of 1812 and wanted to create a projectile that could kill effectively. The team that created this new weapon was led by John Fetterman. The bullet was made from a black powder round and fired from a muzzle-loading rifle. It had a small hole in it that allowed it to travel quickly through air and hit its target. At first, the bullets were used only for hunting animals; however, they soon became popular among military personnel and civilians as well. Over time, different types of bullets were developed – including explosive projectiles and incendiary bullets – which helped make this new weapon even more effective. In 1876, the bullet finally became legal to own and use in America after being approved by Congress.

In 1795 AD, Napoleon Bonaparte introduced his new system called la grande armée which utilized infantry squads armed with muskets instead of traditional swords and pistols to defeat enemy forces on horseback or on foot
