Airguns were first developed in Adrian by three men who wanted to improve the shooting experience of people who enjoyed hunting and target shooting. The three pioneers – Harry Hays, Art Stafford and Forrest Dyer – started building airguns in 1947. They named their company “Adrian Air Guns” and began selling them through word-of-mouth marketing. By 1960, Adrian had become an important center for airgun production in Michigan. Today, ADR has two manufacturing plants located here – one specializes in making replica guns and rifles, while the other produces airguns specific to the Adrian area. The company also maintains a store inside the town hall where customers can buy all types of airguns as well as reloading supplies and accessories. In addition to its manufacturing capabilities, ADR is also involved in many philanthropic endeavors including supplying free handguns to law enforcement agencies throughout Michigan; providing educational opportunities for children in need; and sponsoring local amateurairgun tournaments.

Adrian is a city in the U.S. state of Michigan. It is the county seat for Washtenaw County and was first settled in 1824 by David Cook and others.
Adrian, Michigan is a small town in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It is located about 25 miles east of Lansing, the capital of the state. Adrian's population was 4,405 as of 2010. The community is named after Adrian Michiganshire, an Englishman who settled in what is now Adrian in 1837. The first settlers were Anthony and Margarita Dowell, who arrived in 1838. In 1839, John Hargrave settled here and built the Hargrave House which still stands today. The Girdwood family arrived in 1850 and erected the Girdwood House on land that later became part of Adrian Development Corporation. A post office was established at Adrian in 1857, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1967. In 1865, Nathan Wirth developed land south of present-day Adrian Avenue which became known as Wirth Park. Wirth Park continued to be used for public recreation until 1978 when it was closed to motor vehicle traffic due to its high demand for parking by residents and businesses across the street from its facilities. Today there are only remnant remnants remaining from Wirth Park including a few trees and some playground equipment left behind after years of neglect by local officials. The first school building at Adrian came down during a tornado on September 8th 1861 which destroyed many homes along Main Street between Highland Avenue and Cassie Road (now School Rd.). A new school was built north of current day Ivanhoe Drive on what is now called Hillcrest Drive near where Main Street crossed Highland Avenue during tornado damage cleanup operations conducted by then Superintendent Leonard Whitehurst.. The original building housed gradeschool through high school students until 1966 when they moved into Alexander Middle School adjacent to Ivanhoe Dr./Hillcrest Dr./Ivanhoe Dr.. In 1974/75 an addition to Alexander Middle School (now Northwestern High School) was constructed using funds raised through a special levy passed by voters; this addition included a gymnasium with locker rooms/bathrooms for both boys and girls together with enough space for additional classrooms without disturbing older buildings on Northwestern High School campus.. During those same years other projects associated with downtown redevelopment such as increasing square footage within existing buildings with no impact on student enrollment or infrastructure were also completed including: widening Old Town center streets to 6 feet wide; installation Of city lights around central business district; rehabilitation/remodeling* * Other recent projects include expanding athletic fields westward beyond their current location onto adjoining properties leased from Kalamazoo County; construction Of new water towers adjacent to Central Library & parksade; replacement Of demolished 1970s era athletic field house

Adrian, Michigan is a small town in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It was founded in 1824 by Adrian and his family. The population was 709 at the 2010 census. In 1831, Adrian built a log cabin on the north side of the tracks that now forms part of Adrian State Park. In 1840, he married Mary Jane Stephenson and they had three children: John, Margetts, and Adaline. Two years later, they moved to an area east of town and started a post office. In 1851, they built a gristmill on the nearby river which became one of Adrian’s most important commercial institutions. The mill continued to produce flour until it closed in 1907. The Stonington Brewery opened in 1865 in Adrian and produced beer for local consumption as well as selling it to restaurants throughout the Upper Peninsula. The brewery closed in 1951 but its products are still available today at various stores throughout the region including at the state park where Adrian State Park is located today. The first schoolhouse was built in Adrian by teacher Jennie Valentine in 1856-57 under guidance from Reverend John Larkin who served as superintendent of schools for Kalamazoo County from 1850-1854. A second schoolhouse was erected around 1861 by subscription from parents across town and called “Moses” after one of their own sons who died young at age 16 during frontier warfare; however this building also burned down about 1870 with no records remaining to show what happened to it afterwards In 1865, Miss Fannie Westphal donated land off US Highway 11 between Ada and Adrian for use as a public square which became known as “Adrian Square” On October 25th 1886 Mrs Anna Czarnecka dedicated her home/schoolroom/library (now part of Griggs Hall) on behalf of all students enrolled within Black River Township Kindergarten through 8th grade adjacent to Ms Fannie Westphal Elementary School Building just east (north)of Mr Justice Worthy's store across US highway 11 near current day intersection Of Hwy#11 And Old Business Rd . Mrs Anna Czarnecka resided there until 1922 when she moved into new home located just southwest Of Current days White Sands Dr & Hwy #11 intersecting Hwy #21 Just North Of Current day church . From 1924 until her death Bedelia Mae Carlson taught 6th thru 8th gradesindergarten through 12th grade opposite PTA meeting room next To old blacksmith shop This building housed classrooms & library until 1957 when new Griggs Hall building was dedicated along with gymnasium adjoining both buildings . AfterMrsAnnaCzarnecka's death First Lady Clara Elisabeth Carlson took over teaching responsibilities vacated by Mrs Anna Czarnecka beginning Sept 1957
