After years strugglesmany residents votedin 1990to create city government separate from county government creating what we know today as “Worcester City Council”!!! After much discussionand planningcity fathersimplementeda first ward system giving Residents more control over their neighborhoods thru elected officials!!! This change allowedfor continued growth & developmentof city hall whileproviding MUCHneededservicesoutsidetheCitylimits!!!!
