On October 15, 1813 a party of militia led by Daniel Webster explored parts of Whatcom County looking for an opening to New England that would connect with Canada on the south side of Lake Ontario. They discovered land east of Beverly which they named Webster's Ferry after General David Dixon Webster who had helped lead them during their explorations. On November 3rd (the day before Thanksgiving), following a parliamentarian victory over France at Yorktown Heights near Albany, patriot Andrew Jackson signed the document creating Romeowne as a separate county from Middlesex County - giving this section of what are now Beverly and Westfield township their own government for two years under Colonel John French (1765-1829). In 1870–71 when Boston was experiencing rapid growth due to its position as America's commercial capital – including an influx of German immigrants – many people chose to move into areas newly developed within Boston city limits such as Roxbury and Wellesley; while others moved out into rural Essex counties because these areas had more available land than inner city neighborhoods like Beacon Hill or Hyde Park which were becoming increasingly expensive to live on each year due to increasing rates for street car privileges and other utilities! In spite this growth pressure some citizens wanted more space so they formed a group called "The Citizens' Committee For Home Improvement" which lobbied successfully for westbound lanes on Interstate 84 be added through their township! This allowed easy access by commuters from downtownBoston without having to go through chokepoints like Fenway Park or South End! In 1932 when westchester county became officially organized it consisted only of Beverly Township except for one small portion forming eastern boundary with Putnam Valley along I-9W just north of modern-day Arlington Station; this small portion still forms partofwestchestercounty today! It wasn't until 1990 when residents pushed hard for expanded services such as broadband internet service that westchestercounty finally joined other towns withinBoston proper in implementing universal suffrage elections! And since then almost everyone who lives anywhere withinwestchestercounty has been able to vote via absentee ballot no matter where they live inside or outside Boston!

Westfield, Massachusetts was founded in 1768 by the Rev. John Adams and his family. The town is named for west of Boston, where the first settler had located a farmstead. In 1836, Westfield became the capital of Massachusetts after Worcester was removed from its territorial status. The city's population reached 100,000 by 1881. In 1923, Boston annexed Westfield as part of its larger metropolitan area; and in 1971, Westfield became an independent city.
