He also manufactured matchlock pistols from scratch at his shop. In 1836-37, Samuel Morse established himself as an Ammo Manufacturer in Watertown when he opened his business called Morse's Armory (later renamed Samuel Morse & Sons). At that time ammo was difficult to come by because it had not yet been standardized across different countries like it is now!Samuel Morse also invented radar technology which helped make early warning systems possible! Ammunition played an important role during World War II too! For example, Japan used destructive munitions called torpedoes which were designed to kill large numbers of people using small explosives! The town was first settled by English settlers in 1635 and became a part of Springfield when that city was formed in 1791. Westfield's first post office opened in 1792. The townsfolk built their first gristmill on the Mystic River in 1802 and started to raise hay for export to England. In 1814, they voted to become an independent town and named it Westfield after Mount Auburn Street in Cambridge, England where its founders had been born and raised. In 1825, the Great Awakening began and many Protestants from Boston left for New England to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They brought with them their social customs and religious beliefs which blended with those of the people around them. This made life difficult for early Westfield residents who did not understand why their neighbors were leaving for religious reasons when there were other places they could go to get religion without having to leave their homes or friends. After years of struggles, Westfield finally became an independent town on November 3rd, 1828 under a new charter granted by the Massachusetts General Court as punishment for violating a law against public worship by two Baptist pastors who had moved into town two years earlier. In 1830-1832 James Grafton Moody founded Moody Bible Institute here after reading about it while preaching at a revival meeting near Ipswich (now Quincy). Moody believed that education would play an important role in helping people find salvation through faith alone instead of through institutionalized church teachings which he felt did not match what God wanted his children to do with their lives.- Osmond Browning
