After The Brady Bill’s passage came stricter regulation on handgun ownership which has continued into today thanks largely to initiatives like The Gun Control Act of 1968 which established specific rules about how guns can be purchased and how they can be operated within certain limits; as well as recent expansions such as The Second Amendment Protection Act which seeks To protect pistol owners from any future infringements on their rights under federal law by expanding Constitutional rights granted under the Fifth Amendmentof the United States Constitution
