In 1984, an individual known as “The Rifleman” committed multiple murders with rifles while targeting various business owners throughout Quincy village center before fatally shooting himself in the head outside of the First Baptist Church on Main Street. In 1990, an individual known as “The Bomber” detonated explosives inside of a building near the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth campus during rush hour causing extensive damage and injuring several people including one person who died as a result of their injuries; this was one of the most serious attacks against Eliot Spitzer ever occurrence[1].

Fenton also started up Quincy's first store and built the first building on Market Street in 1851-52. In 1865 he donated land to build what is now Northampton School District #2 which sits on top of his mill property today. In 1898, Drs Joseph Krieger and Edward Cushing opened up their own hospital here which later became Brown University Medical School (now Brown University). In 1907–08, Reverend Ralph Waldo Emerson came to live near Quincy and wrote about it in his essay "The Concord Connection". He mentioned how close both he and his wife lived to some of America’s leading scientists including Benjamin Franklin who had moved from Philadelphia two years earlier while Emerson was living at Harvard University with his wife Priscilla Waldo Parkman Emerson (later President Woodrow Wilson’s niece). Quincy reached its peak growth during World War II when more than 60% of all manufacturing jobs were created here by industry 1944-1945 alone! However since then many businesses have left or been sold off with only a few remaining regional employers such as Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company still headquartered here unchanged since 1945!

Nowadays you will often find Pictographs ornaments found all around Quincy – some date back 2200 years old! In 1636 Boston purchased 4 acres (1 ha) near present day downtown Quincy from Sir Ferdinando Gorges for $2 per acre ($40 per km²). The land had been part of Winthrop Colony since 1588 when Purchase No: 3 from Edward Winslow valued it at $10 per acre ($256 per km²). When Captain John Smith traveled through Plymouth County he noted “a great many good houses but no people’s habitations” meaning that there were no settlements established hereabouts until after English settlement began here during King Philip's War (1675-76) by Captaine Standish & his men who built Fort Saybrook nearby along with other Native American allies led by sachem Massasoit - soon afterwards called “King Phillip” because he had led Philips' army into New England against English forces under Governor Bradford &Captaine Weymouth - fought at Pequot Hill before retreating across Narragansett Bayou into Passamaquoddy Country reaching Woonsocket late in October/early November 168os where they winterized within sight of Portsmouth then returned home late January 169os also reached Woonsocket about February 10th169o thus giving us our earliest recorded record of settlers arriving this side Of Long Island!!!
