The business continued to grow and by 1907 it had become one of the largest gun stores in Newburyport. At that time it operated out of four locations: the old brick building on High Street, the old Masonic Lodge on Meeting House Road, the former post office at 4th and Commonwealth Avenue, and finally their current location at 5th and Townsend Streets. In 1945 they merged with another local firearms store, Armoury Guns & Ammo, which lasted until 1968. Today there are three full-time employees at Gun Parts History—one owner/operator, one part-time employee (from Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm), and one intern (from Saturday 10am to 12pm). They carry a wide variety of firearms products including ammunition, tooling, gunsights, pistols, shotguns etc., along with an extensive rifle inventory. There is also a large selection of knives and other accessories. They offer full-day or overnight access to their collection of guns for customers who want to come see them in person or order online. In 1902 they opened up their own manufacturing plant where they made most all their products themselves except for optics which were bought from Raytheon Company. It produced muzzleloaders (Model M1s) through 1943 when production stopped due to World War II; then AR15s starting in 1947; finally Colt 1911 handguns starting in 1951. The company closed its doors permanently after producing just over 300 handguns during their history! In 1768, Captain John Winship founded First Congregational Church in what is now downtown Newburyport as an alternative to services offered by local churches which were not meetingable for people with disabilities or other needs. During much of its history, Newburyport has been a struggling community economically; however recent efforts have brought about some progress including: - A new shopping mall called "Towne Mall" was built adjacent to Main Street in 2007 which has helped revive downtown and bring more jobs into the area - The construction of a new high school called "New England Regional High School" began in fall 2013 and will help increase enrollments by 400 students over five years - A number of businesses have opened up within walking distance of downtown such as City Market grocery store, Dunkin' Donuts restaurant, Wawa convenience store etc., bringing more economic stability to the area

Newburyport is a town in Massachusetts, United States. The population was 34,869 at the 2010 census. It is the largest town in Plymouth County and the second-largest town in New England after Boston. The town name comes from an English grant given to it by King George II of Great Britain in 1764. The first settlers arrived in 1636, and by 1700 there were about 100 people living on the site that would become Newburyport. In 1764, King George II granted the town to Nathaniel Hawthorne, who named it for himself and his wife Deborah Newbery. Nathaniel's brother John had founded Providence Plantation in Rhode Island; so Nathanael Hawthorne became one of America's earliest property owners. Hawthorne built a house on what would become Prospect Street near present day Market Square before he sold it to Samuel Adams in 1795. TheAdamses lived here until 1813 when they moved to Quincy, Massachusetts because of religious persecution under British rule during the Revolutionary War. In 1814, the new state of Connecticut took over Rhode Island and its two towns: Providence and Warwick; as part of its effort to keep control over sugar colonies across the Atlantic Ocean following Britain's victory over France at Trafalgar (1805). As a result of this takeover, Newburyport lost its status as an independent municipality within Plymouth County but retained some civil rights such as voting power and representation on village councils up until Confederation (1867). During World War I, Newburyport was home to naval air station Farragut which operated from 1917-1920 during World War I with Curtiss P-40Warhawk fighters only being used for surveillance purposes due to lack of fighter production capabilities at that time; however most squadron operations were conducted from nearby NAS Kingsville which also housed Carrier Air Groups (CAGs) making use of Landing Ship Tank landing crafts or LSTs for amphibious warfare exercises off Narragansett Bay/New Haven Harbor between December 1915 – May 1916 inclusive). USS Constitution was commissioned here on 15 October 1917 becoming Americas first warship afloat with Triple Eight engine mounts while stationed at Farragut; she remained moored here until decommissioning on 4 February 1919 after serving throughout World War I including various combat patrols along US coasts deployable into Chesapeake Bay]].
