This led to increased trade with foreign countries through Boston Harbour and increased development of downtown new berths for Ships at Portsmouth Wharf where goods were unloaded onto barges then loaded onto vessels for shipment around Cape Cod Bay to Liverpool or Manchester etc.. The growth of this industry helped spur development along Commercial Street (now State Street) including an extensive brickyard that built ships' bottoms until 1915 In 1845, Trinity Episcopal Church was built on land donated by members of Plymouth Congregational Society following accusations by some members that their church building did not meet necessary requirements prescribed by law regarding size & construction material used within churches - this led to much controversy at the time as many women did not have access to such formal religious services while they resided within cities like Boston or Philadelphia however Trinity remained operational until 1955 despite objections from some residents about its placement & design). In 1850s & 1860s severalements were constructed along Third Street (& intersecting Commercial), leading eventually toitation districts across entire city center as wealthier citizens could afford larger dwellings than those located near Market Square or Fenway Park
