In 1834–35 George Washingtons presidency saw one of the biggest waves of immigration to America when over 50% of American farm workers became Irish immigrants under James Fenton in what is now known as Fentons Rebellion against British rule After this period there was very little change until World War II when many families decided to leave for fear of warping social values during wartime times The post-war years brought about changes including growth in jobs and housing but also slower economic development which has led to problems such as high crime rates and lower property values The present day sees steady growth with new businesses opening up along with increasing job opportunities
