Red Dot Sight History in Marlborough, Massachusetts Marlborough is a town in Plymouth County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 15,032 at the 2010 census. The first Red Dot sight in Marlborough was installed on an old machine shop building by R.W. Green in 1928. The original Red Dot sight consisted of a 10x50mm lens and a 100 yd target rangefinder with 3” target scale. It could only be used during daylight hours and was notRICed or licensed to use any other type of sighting device other than what was provided by the maker. A second Red Dot sight installation took place in 1951 when John Mearsinstalled the first permanently mounted red dot sight on his rifle at his gunsmith shop (now part of Winchester Firearms). This 10x50mm lens and 100 yd target rangefinder were both designed for use with paper targets which could be hit from as close as 25 yards away using techniques such as hold your breath and keep your eye on the crosshair while squeezing the trigger to launch the ball into position. In 1958, another permanent red dot sight installation took place when Prentice Weems installed a 4x30mm Schmidt & Bender scope with an adjustable objective lens on his rifle at his Pistol Shop(now part of Brownells) . This scope allowed for magnification up to 80x making it perfect for Targets out to 300 yards! In 1969, another permanent red dot sight installation took place when Ray Sieversinstalled a new 5x42mm Schmidt & Bender scope with an adjustable objective lens on his rifle at his Gunsmith Shop(now Partridge Arms). This scope allowed users to magnification up to 200x making it perfect for long range shooting! Today there are many different types of red dots sights available and they can all be used depending on what you need them for- such as hunting, target shooting or artillery use!

Marlborough is a town in Plymouth County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 9,711 at the 2010 census.[1] It is part of the Boston metropolitan area. The first Europeans to visit what is now Marlborough were the Pilgrims in 1623 and they named it "Marlborough" after John Winthrop, 2nd Baron original English settler of Plymouth Colony (1595-1635). In 1633, Samuel Sewall and his brother Major Samuels built a home on present-day Spring Street in what is now Marlborough. They rented out plots of land to others and raised corn. The Sewalls had two sons who also became farmers: Benjamin Sewall (1705-1772) came from Newburyport and settled in Marlborough in 1738 and Increase Mather (1712-1777), known as Cotton Mather, moved there from Woburn in 1739. He became an Alderman for Plymouth District 3 from 1747 to 1753; he also served as Selectman for Plymouth District 1 from 1753 to 1758. Cotton Mather's grandson Jonas Wadsworth purchased some of the manorial rights around 1802 which gave him exclusive use of spring water for farming purposes until 1865 when it was granted to other residents through deeds passed down through families. By 1830 about one half million people lived within five miles of Boston proper with a population density over 100 persons per square mile! The growth of Bostoninderholm began however with increasing numbers migrating into Newton Center via the Great Migration during World War II – many refugees newly arrived on ships coming into New England disembarked at Pierpoint Landing just north of town before being ferried across River Thames behind Whitehall Manor onto Long Wharf where they were processed by local firms such as Phelps Dodge & Sons shipyards before being transferred by truck or train directly to their homes near downtownBoston In 1837 Captain David Barron chartered HMS Beagle under Captain James Cook circumnavigating the world without ever landing on shore - Cook's objective was scientific exploration rather than commercial ventures Captain Barron decided that wine could be made from Cape Cod grapevines so he went ashore at Marblehead Bay where he foundstoned several wineries including ones run by Nicholas 10 years earlier by Thomas Smithson he sailed back along Vineyard Sound bound for London but ran into foul weather off Martha's Vineyard so returned safely with valuable cargo including 11 wines bottles filled with brandy still unopened Athanasius Greely visited Marblehead Bay during this time and recorded that "the bay itself seems never fair" due presumably to continual bad weather Captain Barron then explored Buzzards Bay which led him eventually to select land at ;;amherst which he named "Marblehead", because there appeared top be no headland or cape whatever while sailing around direct towards Nantucket Harbor .......Nantucket Harbor lay about 8 miles distant ... against this harbor [Marblehouse Point] extended a very high promontory extending its whole length unto Nantucket Harbor ....... thenceforward we continued our course direct towards that harbor bearing right upon Mount Desert Island ...... [This point today is called], Amherst Headland
