In Gardner, Massachusetts there have been gun magazines for over a hundred years. The first magazine in Gardner was the "Gardner Rifle and Pistol Journal" which was started in 1875. It served as the town's only source of news about guns and shooting. In 1907, the "Gardner Republican" started publication and it continued to be published until 1949. The "Boston Globe" also began publishing in Gardner in 1907. The first handgun magazine in Gardner was the "Gardner Rifleman" which was established in 1908. It served as the town's only source of handguns information and ammunition purchase. From 1916-1920, there were two publications called the "Gardner Gunsmiths' Newsletter" which were both published by Gentry & Sons Rifle Company. The newsletter ceased publication on October 17th, 1920 due to financial reasons. As gun magazines increased in popularity, so too did shootings within their pages. One such incident occurred when an employee at one of Gardner's grocery stores killed three people with his rifle while they were eating dinner inside his store on November 3rd, 1911. This event led to stricter gun regulations being put into place within Gardner and across Massachusetts due to this tragedy. In 1947-1948, four local newspapers merged into one body to form what is now known as The Boston Globe Newspaper Corporation (later bought by Hearst Corporation). At that time, all six papers stretching from Worcester County down through Springfield would become part of one organization under one roof - something that would not happen again until 1998 when five of those papers reemerged individually under their own name once again (the sixth paper left behind folded up among the other papers). During this time period,gun magazines followed suit by starting their own daily newspapers (eager to cash in on renewed interest) similar to how newspapers are nowCapitalizing off social media platforms like Instagram and Snapchat where readers can share photos/videos related to firearms right before they hit print/viewers can see them live on television or online before they hit print...ahem...the ground floor! Interestingly enough, these new morning papers didn't start printing monthly issues like their predecessors had done; instead they started printing biweekly issues which allowed editors more leeway when it came to topics/editorial content since each issue has an allotted amount of space per page...plus there’s always room for ads! What we’re seeing today is a direct result of Magazine Publications expanding beyond justprinting articles but also marketing them electronically through social media outlets as well!

The rifle was designed by Nathaniel Gardner in 1838 and became one of America’s most popular firearms. It fired a single round through a tube that inserted into the breech of the gun and ejected it behind the shooter. The rifle was used by frontier rangers as well as professional soldiers during the American Revolution and War of 1812.
Gardner, Massachusetts is a small town in the state of Massachusetts. The population was 1,848 at the 2010 census. Gardner is located in Berkshire County and is bordered by Pittsfield to the north, Amherst to the east, Middletown to the south, and Dalton to the west. The area now known as Gardner was first settled by two families in 1638. The first settler named Gardner was Samuel Gardiner who came from Framingham, MA. There are several stories about how this place got its name- one says that when a man hit his foot on a rock and fell down an hole he found himself in what became Gardner after descending some stairs into another world where everything was green and clean. Another story has it that there once lived a hermit who had no children so he sent them all away to live with him on an island off of Boston harbor because “he knew they would never get back home again if they went back home with their parents” (Fletcher). One account tells of how a group of boys were playing near where present day Gardner sits when they found buried treasure including gold coins and jewelry! They dug up every item possible until they unearthed enough money to buy their way out (Fletcher). In 1805 John Higginson came across land near present day Gardner which he designated as part of his colony for New Englanders under General George Washington (Fletcher). When Congress passed the Jay Treaty giving Great Britain control over Canada it included lands around what is now Hartford county (Fletcher) so many people migrated hither because of this treaty. In 1820 John Sibley arrived here from Connecticut with his family followed soon thereafter by other settlers such as Cyrus Wheelock and Amos Kendall (Higgins). When Sibley built his house on Main Street we can still see evidence of its construction- there are large stones left standing in front of the house which indicate that it was very sturdy during its time. Many farmers here raised cattle, crops, hay etc., but also produced slaves who worked on farms outside town limits for masters within radius (Shanejoy). This interaction between townspeople and slaveowners continues even today as many businesses operate without any involving local employees or customers-(Walsh/Kendall/Dixon). By 1800 Lawrence Jaffray had organized a militia company which served both Yale University students visiting Emerson College and military engagements against Native Americans throughout central Massachusett County(Mosesson). A post office called GARDNER opened December 3rd 1837 under license from Worcester Post Office (#2) at Northampton(Hartford Co.). After serving 2 years (& being closed due lack of mail), #1 reopened March 12th 1840 & continued service until November 15th 1861 when it merged witn #3 at Springfield(Springfield Co.) becoming Gardner Post Office (#3) . At this point stamps started being issued thru Waverly Stamps Deptt.(Walsh/Kendall/Dixon) & presently thru US Postal Service

It became very popular among European firearm owners. The early 20th century saw a surge in the popularity ofGun magazines. This was due to two factors:1) The increasing popularity of firearms; and2) The need for reliable and affordable ammunition. Gun mags were also used to distribute information about new firearms, as well as tips on how to maintain them properly. In 1948, the Gun Control Act Amendments were passed into law which made it illegal for anyone under 21 years old to purchase or own any rifle or shotgun with Ammunition greater than 5 rounds per case (or less than 0.20 grains). This amendment effectively stopped all gun magazine publication across America. However, this didn’t stop people from using existing Gun Magazines though! Many continued to be published even after this ban occurred (most notably Playboy Magazine).

Gardner is a town in Worcester County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 1,851 at the 2010 census. Gardner was first settled in 1636 by Puritans who named it after Sir William Gardner of Wickenham, England. The town was chartered in 1701 and became part of Worcester County on January 1, 1804. In 1830, Gardner had a population of 479 and became capital of the new county. The town declined during the 19th century due to internal migration and development away from agricultural lands into other businesses. However, thetown experienced a resurgence in the 20th century as an educational center for rural Worcester County and its constituent towns. Since 2000 Gardner has been home to the University of Massachusetts Amherst campus. Gardner is located at (39.780673,-75.327689). It lies northwest of Boston and southeast of Worcester Township limits. According to the United States Census Bureau, Gardner has a total area of , all land. In 1840 there were 242 people living in Gardner; however by 1860 there were only 104 people living here; this decrease continued until 1880 when it decreased to 58 people living here then increased back up to 100 by 1890 despite several natural disasters that year such as Hurricane Andrew which destroyed much property eastward from downtown Gardnersville Cemetery which made travel difficult for many residents moving into newer areas nearby also known as "The Graveyard" due to lack of available burials space within city limits or outsidecity limits with few graves being found inside city walls since colonial times once nearby settlers built their homes atop mounds left over from earlier waves OF Settlers these days are buried deep within modern day cities boundaries but some interred elsewhere still visible today including downtown Gardnersville Old Cemetery now open daily 9am-3pm admission free www historicgardnervt on Instagram As early colonists arrived in what is now Worcester County they began penning out grants unto themselves large tracts along fertile river valleys newly opened up by this process later becoming villages Plymouth Meeting started off as small group meetinghouse private dwellings were not easily obtainable so menfolk went out hunting etc Hunting was essential for early settlers because they did not have horseback riding nor any form of transportation so getting food back home was an important part Of life subsistence was also very important early settlers relied heavily On maize grown on earthworms collected fresh water came from springs ice cream made from milk and butter local cheese made from sheep’s milk obtained fresh cream or raw milk before pasteurization

The town was named for John Gardner, an early settler. The first judicial district in Worcester County was organized in 1784 and Gardner became part of it. In 1828, the town voted to secede from Worcester County and become its own independent municipality. The town's first mayor was James Auld. In 1926, Gardner annexed the villages of Brookline and Westfield to form a new city called Gardner-Brookline. However, this annexation did not take effect until 1957 because the towns had different constitutions. In that year, Gardner-Brookline merged with neighboring Sudbury to form Sudbury-Gardnerville. In 1990, Sudbury-Gardnerville merged with Arlington Heights to form Arlington Heights-Sudbury
