It continued operations until 1827 when it changed hands several times before becoming part of the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute film studio starting production in 1913 under its original name of Rensselaer Cinemas Corporation. It reverted back to its original name following World War II until finally closing down completely in 1957 Finch's Mills remain one of only two mills still operating within striking distance of downtown Boston proper In 1916 Meetings held at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for discussion of cooperative farming formed what would become known as “The Federation” which included many farmers from throughout New England joined together to form this new organization with a goal of working together for common interests
