Easthampton is a town in Hampshire County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 11,852 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Springfield-Springfield Metropolitan Statistical Area. Easthampton is home to two high schools and one middle school as well as several businesses and churches. In 1836, a group of men from Easthampton formed the "Easthampton Rifle Club" to purchase firearms for use in defense against Indians. The club's first firearm was an American Civil War Sharpshooter rifle. In 1892, a group of men from Easthampton founded the "National Rifle Association" (NRA) in order to promote gun ownership and safety within America. NRA members have played an important role in the development of American firearm culture and law enforcement professionals across many industries. The town has also been home to numerous shooting ranges throughout its history - most notably at Winchester Ammunition Plant - which has made it one of the most popular shooting destinations in New England

The bolt carrier group (BCG), which includes both the bolt and carrier, rides on top of these barrels and travels rearward as they return to battery. The BCG assemblies can be divided into three main categories: open/closedbolt carriers (OCC), front/rear chambered receivers (FRCh), or fully automatic devices such as pump-action rifles or shotguns with selectable fire modes (SFCM). Each type of BCG has unique features and functions that must be understood in order to keep your weapon functioning correctly. Open Bolt Carrier Groups (OBCs): Open bolts allow you to fire multiple rounds per trigger pull, while closed bolts limit this feature to one shot per pull. OCCs are found on most assault rifles, carbines, shotguns, pistol grip revolvers, submachine guns and other similar firearms. Front Reciever Chambered Rifles: These receivers have been specifically designed with military applications in mind and come complete with either a stock or handguard which provides greater mobility when carrying around your weapon or storage options when not in use. FRCh's are also more common among civilian rifles such as handguns than sniper rifles because they can be attached directly onto SIG Sauer556-type stocks without any modification required
The first guns in Easthampton were pistols. They were made of wood and used to shoot black powder for hunting, but not many people bothered because there was no need for a gun that could shot anything very large. However, around 1820, someone decided that they needed a gun that could shoot something very large and so they started making rifles. Rifles are different from handguns in that they have a lot of metal around the barrel to make them more powerful. The first rifles were made by taking advantage of an existing mill in Easthampton and making the barrels out of metal instead of wood. Around 1830, someone also decided that they needed a way to load their rifle with ammunition so they started making cannonballs too. Cannonballs are huge and have a hard time going through any material so they had to be made out of some other type of material than just air or lead. Eventually, people got tired of using pistols and rifles for shooting small things and started making cannons too. Cannonballs are still being used today though most people now use rockets or missiles instead because their size is enough to go through most things without breaking them
Easthampton is a town in Hampshire County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 11,554 at the 2010 census. Easthampton is part of the Boston–Cambridge-Watertown Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town site was first settled by English colonists in 1630 as "Hampshire". It became Easthampton during the early days of British settlement in America following the Winthrop Expedition in 1630. The name change to Easthampton after an incident where local Quaker leaders were drove from their home by a group of militiamen and settlers who called themselves "the new people". In 1768, Easthampton voted to become an incorporated town and on July 26, 1768 it did so with its current boundaries. On November 3rd 1802 Dissenting farmers started a civil war against the Town Authorities over land claims made during the preceding years. This skirmish led to increased tension between townsfolk and farmers that would continue until 1872 when all but one of the towns Meeting House burned down due to lack of insurance funds to rebuild. During World War II, Easthampton played host to two thousand soldiers who used its armories for storage and other purposes while they were stationed in nearby Watertown. After the war ended, many of these soldiers returned home and quickly began moving out of Easthampton through annexation by other towns; however, some chose to stay and help manage newly acquired property until it reverted back into easthouse hands around 1970. Today there are very few permanent residents living within town limits; most people live either outside or just inside its borders commuting into Boston each day.

Easthampton is a town in Worcester County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 3,752 at the 2010 census. Easthampton is part of the Pequod area of Worcester County. The first mention of Easthampton dates back to 1636 when it was called "Haverhill". In 1712, John Winthrop founded the first trading post in what is now Easthampton and named it "Winthrop's Bay". In 1741, Colonel Thomas Gage moved his forces from Boston to nearby Lexington and changed the name of the town to "Easthampton" after General George Washington. In 1818, Easthampton became a city and saw much growth due to its location on the border between Worcester County and Norfolk County. By 1860, there were over 4500 people living in Easthampton with a total payroll of $27 million. During World War II, Easthampton played an important role as an airfield for RAF Bomber Command. The fighter-bomber base at RAF Northolt was located just east of town which made use of many fields around town for aircraft storage and maintenance during peacetime; these included Big Springs Farmstead near present day Bethlehem Road (now home to Park Place), Cartersville Road (now Olde Towne Square), Westover Farmstead (now Homecoming Common), Eastwick Lane (later Arlington Drive) and more recently Islington Avenue (formerly Elm Street). It also served as one half-way point on Route 128 from New England through southeastern MA into Connecticut; however this function stopped along with all other military activities in 1945 when US troops withdrew from Japan following the surrender agreement. Today's downtown buildings date back only to the early 1990s when new shopping malls opened up along Route 128 south of town - including Quincy Market Place mall which anchors what had once been an agricultural district surrounding larger farms that have since been replaced by office buildings and housing developments.
