Ammunition history in Beverly, Massachusetts began with the arrival of firearms in the town on December 14, 1768. The first guns were fired at a gun range near the present day First Congregational Church. Ammunition was brought by boat from England and stored in a warehouse on Milk Street. The early ammunition dealers were two men, Samuel Hunt and Amos Adams. Hunt introduced muzzle loading pistols to America in 1775 and became one of the most successful American arms dealers of his time. He also became a master arms maker and founded Hunt & Palmer Arms Company in 1811. Adams was born in London, England on October 24, 1759 and immigrated to America in 1775 as part of the British Invasion of North America. He started what is now called Adams Furniture Company which manufactured rifles, shotguns, pistols and other sporting goods for Americans during the Revolutionary War. In 1825 he founded another company which became known as Winchester Repeating Arms Company Ltd., today's Winchester Firearms Corporation LLC. In 1836 ammo dealers John McClure (later McClure's Rifle Factory) and James Lancaster opened their own stores within walking distance of each other on Commonwealth Avenue across from The Armory Theatre where live shows were staged nightly at that time. This area would become known as "the meatpacking district" because of its proximity to large slaughterhouses used for processing local beef into hamburger, dog food, etc.. Ammunition production peaked during World War I when it produced over 1 million rounds per day; however following World War II it declined until reaching a low point between 1959-1964 when only 730 rounds per day were produced due to technological advancements including digital lithography printing technology which made packaging easier to produce more rounds at lower cost per round while eliminating manufacturing tolerances). In 1965 ammunition production resumed with an increase to 1125 rounds per day after investments in new presses and equipment; however this level has been reached only once since then (1998-1999). Ammunition production currently operates at about 700 rounds per day with plans underway for an increase back up to 1000 if necessary based on current combat conditions or future technological advances

Beverly is a town in Worcester County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 9,471 at the 2010 census. Beverly is part of the Worcester–Addison, MA-NH Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town was first settled by English colonists in 1630 as part of the Plymouth Colony. It became an incorporated town on July 24, 1815; and it won its current name from Beverly Farms near which it lies. The small village then around the farmsteads of Brockton and Northborough dates back to before World War II when they were part of one group of villages that formed Northborough Township in Middlesex County. Beverly has a rich history dating back to 1630 when English colonists started settling here in what is now Worcester County as part of the Plymouth Colony. In 1814, it became an incorporated town after three years of debate between two groups: those who wanted to keep their community independent from outside influences and those who wanted it affiliated with larger towns such as Boston or Worcester. The first post office opened in Beverly on November 1, 1815. In 1938, Beverly voters passed a referendum authorizing annexation by neighboring Addison Township due to overcrowding within the existing municipality. On January 1st following passage of this referendum by voters local leaders announced that Beverly would become an annexed township with its own government/school system with its own water supply and cemetery (the only other communities in Addison Township at that time). Upon incorporation into Addison Township Beverly had a population size of 707 residents while Addison had a population size of 10,000+. That same year also saw construction begin on what would serve as Beverley's first high school – called South High School until it was renamed Arlington High School following requests from residents for another name which honored local servicemen killed during World War II including future Governor George Carlin Sr.). Arlington High School currently serves as both Beverley's high school and municipal offices located on Main Street across from City Hall (now known as Town Hall). Beverly, Massachusetts is a small town in Worcester County, Massachusetts. The population was 5,724 at the 2000 census. Beverly was founded in 1795 by Increase Mather and his family on the site of an old millrace. The first post office in Beverly was established in 1827. In 1905, the town electric light company was organized and began serving Beverly residents. In 1912, Beverly became part of Worcester County. The town has experienced many changes over its history; for example, it lost its status as a mill town to nearby Worcester after being replaced bya more developed community during the 20th century boom period that coincided with development around Interstate 95 (I-95). Although Beverly remains primarily agricultural today due to its location within easy reach of local markets and transportation options, some businesses have opened up such as a high school and a hospital since the late 1990s along with several new homes built since then. Beverly is located just west of Worcester city limits on Route 9A which leads into downtown Worcester via an expressway connection from I-95 south through Dudley and west to exits 4A (northbound) and 4B (southbound). According to the 2010 United States Census report,[1] there are now 7 villages within nineteen townships within Worcester County: Arlington Heights, Bedford Hills, Brookline Village, Dalton Park/Belchertown/Dunster Center Village/Easton Center Village/Westwood Village (all incorporated communities), Easton Township (incorporated only), Gloucester City/Fenway City (incorporated only), Hardwick Township (incorporated only), Hyde Park Township (incorporated only), Lawrence Northfield Borough/Northborough Borough(incorporated only), Medford Townshend Borough(incorporated only), Milton Twp./Worchester Northampton Borough( incorporation only), Newton Southbridge Borough/(Newton Westchester borough)/Southbridge village(new village formed from merger of two other villages) – all but one having fewer than 10 thousand residents.[2]
Beverly was founded in 1636 by John Beverly, a Puritan settler. In 1818, it became the capital of Massachusetts. The city is home to the Beverly Hills shopping mall and Beverly Science Center.
