The Attleboro Rifle and Pistol Club was organized in 1876. It is the second oldest rifle club in Massachusetts, behind only the Springfield Rifle and Pistol Club. The club has been located at 5 Pleasant Street since its establishment. The first meetings of the club were held on October 3rd, 1876. The club is a member-based organization with dues paid by members. There are three levels of membership: Apprentice, Member, and Senior Member. Apprentice members are those who have not yet taken their first steps into membership but are interested in learning more about firearms and NRA activities. Members can be anyone over the age of 21 who lives in or visits Attleboro during regular business hours. Senior Members are those who have served full time as a member of the club for at least five years and have reached the age of 70 years old or older. The Attleboro Rifle and Pistol Club meets on Sundays from 9am to 1pm at the Pleasant Street clubhouse, where they discuss all things firearm related including NRA shootings events that have happened recently as well as other local shooting news items/events that may be of interest to our members! They also hold monthly meetings which discuss topics such as pistols, shotguns, hunting opportunities etc., typically held on either Saturday night or Sunday morning depending on weather conditions outside!
