They began trading goods with local farmers and fishermen before settling down to start what would become an influential business enterprise: Winespring Vineyards Ltd., later known as Sam Adams Brewery Incorporated (SAM). On October 15th 1825 John Quincy Adams was born at home in Amherst while his father labored at Winespring Vineyards Ltd.. Adams attended private schools until he was 7 years old when he went into fulltime school for 5 years under Professor Royal Kingman’s guidance at Amherst College where he earned an LLB degree in 1831. After leaving collegeAdams served as clerk of courts for Worcester County from 1833 until 1835 when he became United States Attorney for Massachusetts from March 12th 1840 - November 8th 1845 during President James K Polk’s second term as president . He then resumed his practice at Winespring Vineyards Ltd., serving until his death on May 6th 1865 after many years spent managing one of America’s most important vineyards
