In 1814, the first firearms hat company was established in Westminster, Maryland. The company was started by John C. Brown and James Fenton and their hats were known for being stylish and practical. In 1832, the company became a part of the Colt Manufacturing Company. At Colt, the hats continued to be made by hand and were often used as part of the uniform of officers in America. In 1892, Winchester Arms Corporation bought Colt’s Hat Division and began manufacturing bolt-action rifles under the name Winchester Repeating Arms Company (WRAC). The hat industry went into decline during World War II due to increased production of military uniforms with metal Helmet Mounted Devices (HMND) which concealed firearms. However, Repeating Arms Corporation resurrected the hat industry with new products such as Combat Spectacles which allowed shooters to see while firing a gun. Today, there are numerous hat companies that produce firearms Hats including Gunsmithing Hats Inc., Armory Custom Hats Inc., Cowboy Hats Inc., Pistol Shoe & Hat Co., Shotgunners' Clubs of America Inc., etc.

Westminster is a town in Prince George's County, Maryland, United States. The population was 5,857 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Washington-Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area. As of 2014, Westminster had an unemployment rate of 3%. The town was founded in 1751 by German immigrants as "Wesleyan Chapel." In 1814 it became part of Prince George's County and was renamed Westminster after King George III's visit there that year. The first white settler in what became Westminster was John Atwater in 1781. He and his family built a small cabin on the east side of the Potomac River near present-day Mount Vernon Place. On July 4, 1785, Atwater married Elizabeth Nicholson from Cumberland County, Maryland; they changed their name to Westminster because Queen Charlotte had given them that designation when she visited America two years earlier. In 1814, when Prince George's County formed from parts of Montgomery and Allegany Counties, Westminster became part of that new county. A courthouse and jail were erected here in 1821–22; but no other permanent buildings were erected until 1828–29 when the county seat was moved to Takoma Park (then located in Frederick). Today's downtown served as a transportation center for much of its early history – goods being transported by wagon or horseback overland from marketplaces along the Susquehanna River to Baltimore or points beyond; then transferred by boat across Takoma Park Lake before reaching markets on Market Street within blocks of each other (the first steamboats reached Takoma Park on August 14th, 1830). Today only a few pieces remaining from this past period remain: a single wattle and daub house on Northampton Street serving as community hall since 1865; an early toll bridge across the Potomac River now used for parking purposes entering/ leaving town; several large commercial warehouses dating back to at least 1920 which have been converted into residential units; and remnants from two original churches which still stand: one west side between Northampton Street and Church Avenue (built about 1800), actually having been razed during construction of modern day shopping malls adjacent to it around 1960s; while another church – also west side between Northampton Street and Church Avenue – has been preserved as an art gallery with live music concerts occasionally taking place there since its opening in 2006

It served as both an protection against head injuries during battle and as a fashion statement. Firearms Hats continued to be created throughout the 1800s, but they were generally less popular due to their precarious construction and bulky nature. In 1876, John Flanagan created the Pistol Shoe Hat, which became one of the most iconic firearms Hats ever created. The Pistol Shoe Hat featured a pistol-style bill formed out of flexible leather or cloth straps that could be worn on either side of the head. The Helmet also included two metal plates that acted as Ear Plugs (later replaced by Bluetooth headsets) when required during combat or leisure activities such as hunting or target shooting. Firearms Hats continued to be produced until World War II, but their popularity began to decline after then because they were no longer practical for combat purposes or fashion statements. Throughout World War II, firearm hats were used primarily by members of military units who needed some form of protection from weather conditions and enemy fire while on duty. However, even today there are few people who wear firearms hats outside Of Combat situations where it is not mandatory

The city began as an agricultural community on land that now forms part of Capital Hill. In 1871, a group of businessmen and politicians founded what would become Westminster as a result of their drive to make capital city improvements in response to advances made by Baltimore. The original City Hall building still stands today and is used as the municipal offices for the city. In 1876, Westminster became one of the first municipalities in America to annex neighboring jurisdictions such as Hyattsville and Lanham. This annexation removed much of downtown from Westminster's control but it created new business districts which remain important today including Midtown West (a commercial district between Third Street NW and Fourth Street NW) and River North (which includes Riverside Park). In 1902, when Prince George's County was created from parts of Northern Montgomery County, Westminster became its first official jurisdiction. Many pioneers who invested in early settlements near Capitol Hill were rewarded with property holdings that continue to this day within our municipal boundaries- many are buried there beneath modern buildings or lie scattered throughout Crown Heights and other neighborhoods within O'Donnelltown Township adjacent to both Capital Hill proper and Downtown Westside; yet all these people share common ancestors with those who lived here more than 150 years ago: they were all Virginians born within 10 miles (16 km) of Old Capitol Hill." An article about King William III’s visit to 1792 read: "On July 12th [1792], King William III visited Georgetown University where he met with several prominent figures including James Madison[1] – at this time Washington’s Vice President – John Adams[2], Thomas Jefferson[3], Alexander Hamilton[4] & James Monroe[5]. He then journeyed downriver until he arrived at Georgetown where he conferred with Drinkson about ways best to support Washington during his next term.'" This article discusses some events surrounding Charles Carroll during his lifetime including Charles Carroll's role during independence celebrations on July 4th 1792 when he traveled downriver from Mount Vernon accompanied by fellow patriots such as James Madison, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson etc There are also mentions around this time about how Charles Carrol donated money towards improving education opportunities for future generations
