Due to this constant change in Ammunition Specifications over time, various names have been given to certain types of barrels: “Bbl.,” “Barrel Length*,” etc.* This name system allows us to better understand where each barrel is coming from and helps identify specific firearms when looking at older literature or vessel listings.* The naming convention used for early firearms is typically determined by where the bore begins – that is on the forward side near the muzzle – followed by the caliber number(s) indicated by an asterisk (*). For example: *Shotgun Bbl.,* .410 Bore/.45ACP Bazooka Bbl., etc.* However, over time some calibers began being named after particular parts of a firearm such as 1896-1909 Colt Python Revolver Bbl., Henry Repeating Rifle Bolt Action Barreled Shotgun Bbl., 1892 Winchester Model 94 Revolvers Pistol Barrel*, etc.* As mentioned earlier, this name system allows usto better understand where each barrel is coming from while also identifying specific firearms*

By 1865 this business had been transferred to another site on High Street near present-day Salisbury University - this became known as Webley & Hogarth Ltd., now part of Smith&Wesson Firearms Incorporated."

Salisbury is the county seat of Prince George's County and home to many government buildings and businesses. It is also the location of Bowie State University. The first settlement in present-day Salisbury was made on a small island in what is now the tidal estuary of the Patuxent River. The first settler named John Salisbury arrived in 1776 and built a house on what is now Main Street. He soon realized that he needed more land to expand his business, so he sold part of his island property to merchants from Baltimore for $100 cash. In 1810, Edward Smith bought some additional acres from John Salisbury for $200 cash. That same year, Thomas Pratt founded the Pratt & Hargrave shipbuilding company on Main Street which became one of Prince George's County's largest employers and still employs approximately 150 people today. In 1814, Abraham Lincoln met with representatives from Baltimore at Smith's store to discuss developing trade routes between those two cities during his presidential campaign against Andrew Johnson. One result of these meetings was the creation of the Patuxent Canal Company which began construction in 1815; this project led to further growth for both towns and their economy during the next several decades while also enhancing relations between them as they become increasingly intertwined politically and economically under President James Kenedy (1846-1849). During World War II, much development took place within Salisbury when military barracks were constructed nearby including an airfield which would later be used by RAF Bomber Command during World War II; as well as extensive renovation/new construction taking place within city limits such as new schools (Chester High School), firehouses (Salisbury Volunteer Fire Department),Emergency Management Headquarters (Mayor McMahon Building), etc.; all this work helped spur economic growth throughout 1943-1945 while serving as a major source of social stability during wartime shortages acrossPrince George’s County due largely to wartime rationing policies instituted by then Defense Secretary Robert Murphy (1944-1945). In 1951 Ford Motor Company opened its plant on campus south of downtown; this marked another milestone for Salisbury as it joined other top U S companies such as Chevrolet/Chrysler Corporation and DuPont Corporation who had locating rights around town before that date following years of effort by Mayor McMahon and others culminated with Ford opening its doors after months long negotiations(coinciding with National Football League expansion plans moving into newly developed Chevy Chase neighborhood adjacent to Bowie State University) .
