New Carrollton is located in Prince George's County, Maryland, within the Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan Area. As of the 2010 census, the population was 20,971. It is a small town that has seen significant growth in recent years. New Carrollton was founded in 1814 as part of what was then known as Washington's Hundred and today it constitutes most of eastern Prince George's County. The first settler in New Carrollton may have been Nicholas Flournoy who arrived on horseback from England in 1814. In 1816 Colonel John Smith purchased land east of present day New Carrollton from Nicholas Flournoy for $2 per acre. On February 7, 1817 Smith donated to the township three lots totaling 15 acres which were bounded by Northampton Street (now West Potomac Avenue), Pennsylvania Avenue (now Ulysses S Grant Boulevard), and Delaware Avenue (now Lombard Street). The Township Court House was built in 1818 and served as courthouse until it burned down in 1865. A new court house was erected between 1870 and 1880 at a cost of $8,000 with an addition designed by architect Eben Marshall that included a Second Empire clock face and octagon portico. The courthouse became home to the Town Council from 1889 to 1895 when it moved to its current location on Northampton Street across from Stroud Middle School. In 1896 Charles Waddell bought 1/4 mile northeast of present day New Carrollton along Walnut Ave., now Rosslyn Road, for $10 per acre which formed the nucleus of what would become White Marsh Township adjacent to Menlo Park south of Fayetteville Road - this area would be annexed into Montgomery County in 1955 after portions of White Marsh were re-settled by Americans living near Bethesda Naval Air Station following World War II military activity there. New Carrollton experienced rapid growth during World War II due to its proximity to German forces occupying southern Maryland during that time period who also used nearby Menlo Park as their primary basecamp while conducting various operations such as Operation Overlord across much of central Maryland includingBaltimore City proper where up to 10%of all commercial production took place at those facilities during that war effort; these activities resulted in many job losses for local residents including many workers lost their jobs at Menlo Park though no one ever faced prosecution resulting from those events resultant from government secrecy orders placed upon Army Corps OFT headquarters at Aberdeen Proving Ground not related to WW2 operations any more than revealed army intelligence reports about Japanese installations being located within Baltimore city limits back then! In postwar years retail functions gradually transitioned away from men’s clothing stores Main & Lower Broadway towards larger department stores like JCPenney & Sears while services continued shrinking representing just 3%of adjusted local employment but composed 60%of total payroll over several decades thru out central PA growing faster tha average US municipality reaching prerecession levels only capping off rapid suburban sprawl begun well before national recession hit !!!!!

These sights became popularized on rifles such as the Winchester Model 1903 and Winchester Model 1895. By 1898, all major firearm companies had produced red dot sights that could be calibrated to shoot at various distances. By 1902, most red dot sights were sold without magnification or windage adjustments. In 1918, German astronomer Johannes Kepler designed a red Dot Sight that allowed shooters to hit targets up to 350 yards away with ease using a simple sighting system called “kepler” crossfire rangefinder technology
