This area will have numerous small metal pales spaced evenly throughout it; these pales indicate where air pressure within your weapon's barrel was applied during installation of itsgun choking device(s). If all around this area there are no pales then your firearm does not have a typical gun choked barrel!

Laurel, Maryland is a town in Prince George's County, Maryland, United States. It is the smallest incorporated city in the United States. The population was 4,292 at the 2010 census. Laurel was founded by settlers from England in 1784 and became a U.S. township on March 3, 1821. The first Post Office of Laurel opened on May 1, 1824 and the first courthouse was built in 1828. On October 15, 1861, when Confederate General Robert Ewell arrived in town to lead an attack against Union forces early that morning near Harpers Ferry Bridge, he set off a fire that destroyed most of downtown Laurel and killed eleven people including general James Longstreet The community has been rebuilt numerous times since then but its fortunes have not always been high. In 1951 it lost its charter as a county municipality; it regained this status upon creation of Montgomery County effective July 1st of that year. Since then Laurel has made some strides both economically and politically with the election of Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake in 2013 and passage of several landmark legislation such as the Park District referendum which helped turn around struggling downtown businesses during what has been dubbed "the city’s renaissance" after years of neglect following county-wide budget cutsbacks
