This event marks history as Prince George's County was created out of land that once lay within Virginia! It wasn't until after World War I when development started to take hold in what are now some of Prince George's County’s most popular neighborhoods such as Upper Marlboro and Bowie which gave rise to our current moniker: “The Beltway Area” because of all the businesses that have sprung up there over recent decades! Little did we know at the time how much progress we would make over these past few decades when it came to our environment!
