The Gun Parts History of Frederick, Maryland can be traced back to 1775 when British troops burned down the Old Armory. The building was rebuilt and became the first courthouse in Frederick County. In 1827, the building was moved to its current location at 4th and G Streets. The courthouse served as a county seat from 1828 until it was removed to Frederick in 1871. The courthouse continued to serve as a county government center until it was destroyed by fire in 1968.
Frederick is a small town in Prince George's County, Maryland. It was founded by German immigrants in 1785. The town has a population of about 20,000 people. It is the largest municipality in Prince George's County and the second-largest community in Washington County. Frederick was incorporated as a municipality on April 14, 1907. The townsite of Frederick was donated to the town by Michael Wiegand, who had purchased it from John Jenkinsett for $1,500. Wiegand had come to Frederick from Baltimore to purchase land for his new grocery store. He did not realize that he had given away part of his property which would later become the city of Frederick. The first settler in what is now Frederick was Peter Peters who arrived with his family on May 2, 1785 and built a cabin on an abandoned lot next to present day Middle School Street. In 1802 Isaac Chapin moved into what is now Chapin Park and began growing corn and wheat there before selling some acres back to Peters for $200 cash plus 10% interest per year payable annually until death or until sold within 12 months after purchase). In 1804 John Nicholson also bought land at this location but did not move in until 1812 when he erected a house on present day North Gadsden Street (now called First Avenue) which he named "Nicholson House". In 1818 Abraham Weisbach landed atpresent day Central Ave SE where he erected another log home named "Weisbach House." By 1830 all except four settlers had left for various reasons including war with Mexico; one group went westward into Canada while others headed eastward towards Ohio Territory where they founded Mechanicsburg settlement near Potomac River on July 11, 1830 according to contemporary records. Hecker family arrived in 1840 fromGermany during American Civil War and operated bakery here until their eviction in 1865 due to lack of business acumen or political incorrectness entailed with baking goods under wartime military rationing regulations prohibiting such items from being sold commercially outside of designated markets like Baltimore City/Maryland/. They emigrated again but failed at reentry following World War II because many Germans were targeted by United States government raids as 'enemy aliens'. One possible explanation why all other German families didn't follow Hecker may be related to recent findings that many Jews also settled around Frederick during this time period even though Jews were not persecuted during Nazi Germany unlike other groups such as Communists and Socialists who were persecuted systematically . Today portions of Center Ave SE (northwest corner), South Gadsden Street (southwest corner), Easton Avenue NE (east side), North Gadsden Street (northeast corner) are still home to businesses run by original owners/enslaved descendants thereof including several restaurants/cafés along Center Ave., several hardware stores/grocery stores along South Gadsden St., two churches - both Baptist - along Easton Ave NE, one post office - currently open only Monday through Friday 9am-5pm - located off North Gadsdin St., two schools - one public & one private elementary school located off Central Ave SE

Frederick, Maryland is a town in Prince George's County, Maryland, United States. The population was 3,851 at the 2010 census. In 1815, when Baltimore and its surrounding towns were incorporated into Prince George's County, Frederick had a population of just over fifty people. By the 1850s it had become an important seaport for commerce and shipping due to its location on the Potomac River at a strategic spot between Philadelphia and Richmond. As recently as 1880 it still held this position but other nearby communities such as Hyattsville (now Bethesda) replaced it as both Frederick's main commercial center and political stronghold during these years. In 2017, the city approved plans to create a new downtown district that will include high-rise buildings and more than 1 million square feet of commercial space.
