Each cartridge has strengths and weaknesses which relative ammo capacity dictates how much power each cartridge offers at various ranges! For instance: A 12 gauge magnum wants loads capable of taking down large animals at close range while someone using 7 mm Magnum may only want shots capable of taking small game at longer ranges
