Frederick, Maryland is a town in Prince George's County, Maryland, United States. The population was 21,711 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Prince George's County. Frederick was founded in 1783 and incorporated as a city in 1857. In 1916, it became a state capital and has since been the seat of government for both Maryland and Delaware. Frederick is named after King Frederick I of Prussia who donated land to the town.

These fossils show that some early Reptiles had the capability towalk on two Legs with help from their environment. However, this was not until around 60 million years ago when man started realizing he could do this himself through his own efforts and innovation!

Frederick County is named after Frederick, Prince of Wales. The county was organized in 1866 and became a part of Maryland in 1867. It is one of the most rural in the state with an area of only 21 square miles. As a result, agriculture has been the dominant economic force in the county for many years. The first settlers to the area now known as Frederick County were farmers and their families who came overland from Pennsylvania in 1776. Many notable pioneers lived and worked in this region during its early days including John Nicholson, who built Nicholson's Mill on the Patuxent River in 1777; Eli Whitney, who developed Whitney Run into one of Maryland's leading cotton plantations; and George Washington Carver, who founded Carver Farms near what is now Laurel Hill. During much of its history Frederick County had difficulty getting good farmland because it was mostly forested until recently. However, recent decisions by local government have resulted in some land being available for farming that was previously unusable due to brush or trees coverings dating back to pre-settlement times. This has helped to change many aspects of life for residents here such as increased access to fresh air and sunlight which are necessary for growing crops effectively. Today, Frederick County is home to a number of major businesses including Rockville Centre mall and Montgomery Scott Airport which support employment opportunities for locals as well as tourists visiting nearby areas like Bethesda or Annapolis. Frederick was founded in 1751 by Frederick the Great of Prussia. It became an American city on July 4, 1821, when it was incorporated as a town by act of the United States Congress. The city's population reached 100,000 in 1860 and 300,000 in 1930. By 1990, the figure had fallen to 50,000.
