College Park, Maryland is a city located in the western United States. With a population of over 100,000 residents and an area of just less than 10 square kilometers, College Park is one of the larger cities in the Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan Area. The city was founded in 1889 as part of what would become the Washington County town of Highland Heights. In response to the growth of neighboring Baltimore, Highland Heights was merged with nearby Station Road in 1907 and became known as College Park. The school district that housed Highland Heights eventually disbanded and its students were transferred to Baltimore City public schools; however, Highland Heights remains a nameakes for College Park. The University of Maryland at College Park was founded in 1867 and has since been one of America’s most highly respected institutions. Located on campus are two main buildings – the John W. Smith House which serves as both the student center and library while also being used as offices by university president Dr. Frederick Hobeach and other top administrators; and the Old Main Building which houses both science laboratories (such as those concerned with earth, life, chemistry, astronomy…) as well as classrooms, dormitories/apartments for students, engineering labs (including those associated with power plants), an apartment building for faculty members housing their personal effects/, restaurant/bar/nightclub on Penn Plaza Boulevard adjacent to US Highway 711A / US Highway 101D) and more than 400 residential units spread across more than fifty acres (160 hectares). The University system has also created several major graduate centers within or near College Park including: The Center for Advanced Studies in Health Sciences at UMCP; The Institute for Regenerative Medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine; The Center for Human Genetics at George Washington University School of Medicine; Andrology Research Laboratories at Georgetown University Medical Center – all located on or near US Highway 1 / Memorial Drive between Mount Vernon Square eastward to Bel Air Road northward In addition to its many undergraduate programs leading to degrees such as arts & humanities (with campuses throughout Maryland), business administration, health sciences (including law enforcement & health care management), engineering & technology*, pre-law & criminal justice* (*enrollment rates reflect Fall 2017 term only) ; there are several professional programs offered by UMCP such as law enforcement training administered by local police departments along with administrative support services such as real estate management Additionally , extensive research opportunities are available through multiple universities partner organizations including academic partners from Duke Univ., Brown Univ., Yale Univ., MIT etc.* Finally , much attention is given to community engagement activities which have included numerous outreach events designed specifically for young people from inner city neighborhoods adjacent to UMCP Campus

In 1825, Nicholas-Jacques Conte designed and built the first mechanically adjustable telescope, which he named the Royal Observatory at Greenwich. This instrument was used to study stars and planets and helped to develop astronomy as an academic Discipline. By 1830, scopes had become so advanced that they could be used for scientific research on very large scales. In 1868, Charles Babbage designed and built the world’s first electronic computer, which was used to help astronomers analyze data collected by optical telescopes. By 1900, scopes had evolved into what we know today as digitalscopes. The advances made during this period have made it possible for scientists around the world to study objects billions of miles away with ease.

College Park is a town in Prince George's County, Maryland, United States. The population was 21,871 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Washington–Baltimore–Chevy Chase, MD Metropolitan Statistical Area. College Park is home to one of the largest concentrations of students in the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area and also has a strong tradition of education and entrepreneurship. The community was founded by Samuel Morse and his wife Elizabethtown in 1814 as a small collection of log buildings on what is now Church Street. In 1832, College Park became one of two towns in Prince George's County when it was split from Upper Marlboro Township. When Upper Marlboro Township merged with Anne Arundel County in 1966, College Park remained an independent town until its merger with Prince George's County in 2000. The first schools were built in 1814 on land that would later becomeCollege Park. At that time the only school within easy walking distance for those living near Anacostia River was John Carroll School which operated from 1792 to 1865 across from what is now Loudoun Heights Shopping Center on North Charles Street. There were no public schools within miles for most people at this time so schooling for young people generally took place either at home or among friends/family members until there were some rudimentary Catholic and Protestant schools opened up during the 1830s and 1840s when more money started flowing into Prince George's County through taxes levied by local authorities to help finance infrastructure projects such as new roads and bridges etc.. In 1832 Samuel Morse established himself as a teacher at nearby East High School while his wife Elizabethtown continued teaching at nearby West High School; these two schools are still extant today as well as Friendship Elementary School which served as Middle School from 1951-1967 before becoming an Elementary school again in 1997 Morse’s sons Alfred (1835-1902) & Jennet (1837-1920) both taught school here after their father’s death In 1834 Samuel Morse Jr., moved his family to what would become known today as Goucher Hall where he became a Master Mason A large addition to Goucher Hall later became known as the “Morse wing” which housed physics classrooms, laboratories, a library, dormitories for male students (the first college dormitories west of Philadelphia), training halls used by many local officers during WWI including Columbo and Barker who had been injured fighting against General Pershing . AfterSamuel Morse Sr.'s death in 1862 his son moved his family back to Maryland but kept Goucher Hall which he donated to King’s College Fredericksburg1975 In 1896 Royall Higginson attended Amherst College here while working on developingMaple Leaf cigarettes Hereafter Amherst would be seen by many locals & visitors alike as “The Harvard Of Md” Frederick Law Olmsted came visitAmherst here twice between 1909 & 1910 He may have even tasted some Amish food given that he mentioned Mount Pleasant cheese being produced east ofdisable Junction where he resided It should be noted that although much has changed over time regarding curriculum or even physical location amongst various institutions within present day College Park – Samuell Morse III remains an integral part of our community history! After receiving numerous awards throughout Maryland (& beyond!) over the years including being inducted into The Order Of Masons International , himanniversary proclamation read: "Samuel Morse III Classmate - 43rd Anniversary" In 2012 they elected him President Elect Of His Masonic Lodge # 2542 ) – displaying once again how much Aether retains value long after individuals have passed away!
