Many synthetic materials such as PEGs have replaced some natural ingredients ingun lubricants in order to provide better environmental compatibility. Some examples of synthetics that have been increasingly used ingun lube formulations are soybean protein isolate*, beeswax*, palm olein**, linoleate*,cetracyclopentadiene*, cyclopentadiene*/hexadecylcyclohexane*. * Not all synthetics found on grocery shelves are safe for human contact

At this point in time, UMBC had over 1,000 students and 35 faculty members! By 1966, however,UMBC had outgrown its original space and began searching for a new home on campus. Eventually they found their new home at One John Fenton Place which served as their main academic building until 1997 when they relocated to their present site on Eastern Road overlooking downtown Annapolis! In total since 1901 UMBC has grown from an undergraduate institution with only 10 full-time equivalent faculty members into one of North America’s leading universities with over 100 full-time equivalents – making it one of the few private universities that enjoys such widespread universal acclaim!
