In 1967-1968, College Park voters approved an 0% sales tax for educational purposes only; this measure remains an important aspect of local government life today! The Town then voted to annex adjacent portions of Bowie Valley School District No. 1 (to form another school district) which resulted in much needed redevelopment on many levels within our community including new housing developments such as Laurel Hills and Bethesda Highlands – two highly sought after neighborhoods in central Baltimore! Today’s college town has seen rapid growth over several decades due to its location minutes’ walk or bike ride from much needed job centers and world-class cultural attractions like American University; research institutions like Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health;and boutique hotels like Ritz Carlton Hotel & Tower – both just steps away from campus!
