Sacomans had made contact with Native Americans before but never organized themselves into a village until they did so during this experiment. After disembarking their vessels at New France Landing they built homes among their winter guests while waiting for news back home about their expedition’s success or failure – it was not successful and none of the boats returned home alive despite numerous attempts over many months (a fact which has been mythologized ever since). The experiment failed not only because noone wanted to live beyond reach of civilization but also because there was little trade between Indians living along both sides of the river so goods brought back by people like these very likely didn't do much good overall when compared against Indian produce or furs being hunted down by European hunters who could have easily obtained those items if they had chosen instead to cross overriver unescorted! After his return trip upstream he reported his findings back home - everything worked according to plan except for one small detail which he incorrectly attributed to poor navigation on part of his team!: Actually all participants correctly interpreted accompanying winds which caused them difficulties rounding sharp bends near Canada! It seems unlikely anyone would take such liberties with an important report...although still nothing can be conclusively proven! It wasn't until 1862 when Captain James Colville determined that Macomb Falls existed within present day Saco limits - finally proving that once again someone somewhere upstream knew exactly where we were! Since then most residents have grown up knowing about our history & importance however some continued traditions like playing religious games outside during Lent (just kidding!) may continue unchanged
