Biddeford, Maine is a small town located in eastern Maine. The population was 7,868 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Portland-Vancouver-Haven metropolitan area. The town was founded on December 12, 1820 by Captain John Clark and his family. Biddeford became a parish in 1828 and was incorporated as a city in 1907. The current mayor is Shawn Moody and the town council has six members. The centerpiece of Biddeford's economy are its two churches: First Congregational Church, which dates back to 1792, and Second Baptist Church, which was built in 1909. Other businesses in the town include KFC, Sears, JCPenney and Mastercard. There are also several agricultural properties that provide jobs for local farmers as well as ammunition manufacturers and paper mills that have closed down over the years but remain preserved as historical landmarks. Biddeford's history can be traced back to 1820 when Captain John Clark took possession of land east of present day Biddeford on what is now known as the Canada River because he needed to create an outlet for his flour mill north of Montreal during this time of economic hardship following British military occupation of North America. For many years afterCaptain Clark's purchase there were no residents living near or within walking distance of his mill so he had to send workers out into the countryside every week to bring back flour from mills upriver where it would be stored until it could be exported across Canada winter then shipped downriver again during summer months for export into Europe where prices were much higher than what they were here at home! In 1865 captain David Hogg purchased CaptainsClark's property including most of what now includes downtown Biddeford; however David did not build any new structures within city limits but left most intact from CaptainsClark's days including both churches (First Congregational being moved from original location on Main Street across Grafton Street towards Interbay Park while Second Baptist remains at original location next door on High Street). One interesting note about this period is that both First Congregational & Second Baptist still use same building keys today - Alumni Keys! In addition to providing services inside their churches year round these keys still play an important role today especially given how often doors open/close inside those buildings without any key fobs/pads currently available! In 1907 Biddeford became a city with City Hall located on Water Avenue between Market and Union Streets with City Council meetings taking place at various locations around town such as various warehouses around Depot Square before moving eventually to center court off 2nd street abutting Center Ave., just south side directly behind high school (itself formerly used by Women’s Christian Temperance Union meeting rooms prior to prohibition)). In 1916 Citizens League put up large sign reading “Vote Democratic” bowing out only minutes later when United States entry into World War I caused political hysteria throughout Great Britain (& elsewhere) leading citizens suddenly become interested in party politics instead & beganeering money & supplies online just ahead of primary election date May 15th 1916 – 24 hours notice specifying all pertinent details so everyone knew exactly who they should vote FOR (& AGAIN against)! This event would come to be known locally simply as “The Day The Vote Was Polled” due mostly due TO social media spreadsheets filled almost exclusively with voter turnout data courtesy OFA Media Services whom we still contract out annually!) Anyway;City Hall burned down 3 years later (1921) during early morning foggy conditions leaving very little evidence except for somecharcoal pieces all over water front sidewalk which quickly turned into one big playground for neighborhood kids!) After 3 straight seasons without new City Hall construction finally started upriver near old Post Office building effective November 1st 1922 when ground was broken using massive tractors pushing huge piles OF MASSIVE STONE CONCRETE letters spelling THE NAME OF CITY hall facilities 10 ft high!! UP FROM WATER AVE TO 2ND St ever since!), finally finished July 5th 1924!!!!BIG DAY IN CITY HISTORY!!BIG DOG DAY!!!!! These creatures had two limbs that were united by a joint at the shoulder blade. For example, one possible reason for bipedality may be that humans are physically better suited for running than four-limbed beings. Another possibility is that bipedality allows humans to communicate better with others due to their unique shape of the skull and spine. Finally, bipedality may have been used as a way of locating prey more easily because humans are taller than most other species (except for smaller primates). In recent times, there has been renewed interest in understanding the origins of human bipedalism. Some researchers believe that human beings might have arisen from a combination of two-legged and four-limbed ancestors. Others think that human beings might have arisen from a single ancestor who was both two-footed and four-limbed. More research is needed before any definitive answers can be made about how human beings became what they are today – but this doesn’t mean we can’t learn something from our past!
