Westwego, Louisiana is a small town in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. The population was 9,711 at the 2010 census. It is part of the New Orleans–Metairie–Baton Rouge Metropolitan Statistical Area. The land that now makes up Westwego was first purchased by the French in 1763 for $4,500. The first European to live in what is now Westwego was Jean Lafitte who built his plantation on the current site of Thibodaux Street in 1768. Lafitte named it Fort Caroline after his mother's birthplace, Caroline Island off South Carolina. In 1802, United States troops burned down Lafitte's plantation and took all his slaves with them; however, they did not destroy all of his belongings as some were later recovered and restored to Lafitte's heirs. In 1804, General Andrew Jackson made an attack on Mobile Bay and occupied Pensacola Bay while under orders from President James K. Polk to burn any French warships found there; however, he discovered that the fortifications guarding Mobile Bay had been constructed by the Spanish instead and abandoned plans for such an attack when he learned this fact. When Polk became president in 1908 he ordered Rear Admiral George Dewey to escort American merchant vessels into Mobile Bay during World War I so as not to offend Spain; but because of bad weather Dewey anchored too close to Spanish port installations and suffered damage which forced him finally to returns home without achieving his original objective. When Westwego began serving as a military post during World Wars I (1914-1918) and II (1941-1945), many soldiers from nearby Thibodaux garrisoned here until their units were transferred back home or disbanded due to combat fatigue or other reasons at that time; nevertheless, most residents still lived within walking distance of either school or churches located just east of Pearl Street between Seventh Avenue North and Ninth Avenue North until after Katrina struck on August 29th 2005 which destroyed much of downtown west Of Pearl street including most of both schools & churches situated along side 7th Ave N & 9th Ave N

When rifles started being designed with multiple barrels and firing modes there was need for more efficient ways to feed ammunition into them. A new method called inline feeding was developed where cartridges would be fed onto an upper arm built specifically for this purpose called an “inline buffer” This allowed cartridges to flow quickly past all those pesky smaller holes in your barrel and hit your target dead center without having to go through all those big ones. For some time now inline ammo feeding has become standard on most pistols and shotguns as well as bolt actions like ARs

For example, it illustrates how migration patterns can shape regional identities – both through choice (the Germans chose to move to Jefferson Parish) and happenstance (the town’s location within easy reach of New Orleansallowed for rapid growth). Additionally, Westwego points to some important trends in American society at the time: namely increased international trade and immigration via steamships – two phenomena that shaped local life profoundly. Finally, it provides insights into how social factors can influence cultural change – something that has long been significant on both sides of the Mississippi River.
