With World War II on horizon, Scope Mounter production increased even more!!! Their slogan back then was "We Will Make Your Sight Better Than Any Else" !!! After WWII ended in 1945 there was much postwar competition for market share among optics companies but Scope Mounts still held its own against all challengers !!! They expanded their product line again in 1948 with the addition of target turrets !!! And finally in 1951 they introduced windage adjustment on all mounting devices !!

George Washington Dixon (1798-1877) came to America about 1820 as an indentured servant of Drury Lane theater proprietor James Kappler Sr.. Dixon acquired some 200 acres (81 hectares) west of what is now downtown Slidell between 1830s and 1840s; this land became known as Dixon's Grove after him years later when it passed into private hands again through purchases or gifts by various families over time. In 1865 Dixon married Sarah Bogue (died 1862). They had six children: George Washington Jr., Caroline Wright Dixon (1868-1946), James Wofford Dixon (1870-1954), Sarah Belle Dixon (1872-1949), Addie May Covington Dixon (1875-1964), Cyrus Augustus Booth III (born 1880). There has been much speculation among historians regarding George Washington Dixon's possible involvement with Confederate forces during the American Civil War; no definitive evidence exists to support or disprove this allegation beyond circumstantial evidence available at that time unrelated to any specific topic or subject matter covered herein; however such speculation should not be taken lightly nor treated with undue disrespect since many significant events within American history have been shrouded in mystery even unto this day!
