His widow married John Fenton, who took over Fenton's holdings and renamed them "Shreveport". In 1824, another Frenchman by the name of Thibault placed an ad for goods needed to build a road between Mobile Bayou and New Orleans proper: "For Sale—One Hundred Acres [of] Land near Mobile Bayou", which led to development around downtown Shreveport by early 1830s as cotton plantations grew larger nearby. In 1865, General Robert Ewell occupied LaPorte County during Confederate forces' retreat from Baton Rouge following their Battle of Mansfield Plantation; Shreveport fell within Union lines under terms of the Treaty of Paris ending the American Civil War that same year. During Reconstruction period following Reconstruction era Taft ordered all former Confederate soldiers must leave Louisiana before 1870; this left African Americans with little opportunity for economic advancement until white entrepreneurs started businesses throughout downtown areas such as Lafayette Square beginning around 1870s; including Waffle House proprietor George Hinchey starting around 1878 who served three terms as Mayor from 1889-1893; first African American elected mayoralty in United States History In 1907–1908 renovations were made to both LSU's then Beaux Arts Quadrangle campus designed by architect Edward Janssen (1863-1946) – later redesignated Tulane University Campus – and Main Street Bridge across Mobile River where US 1 crossed it resulting into increased business activity during prohibition era since alcohol could still be bought openly without license or penalty then As part of integration efforts during desegregation period following Great Migration era ensuing World War II many black veterans have returned to town since they were able to find jobs available once again after war ended In 1960 Interstate 10 replaced US 90 through town resulting into increased traffic congestion caused largely by limited amount remaining open hours for local merchants adjacent I-10 Business District becoming known as Downtown Loop

This kit contained everything that had been previously mentioned plus an adaptor which allowed it to be used with shotguns. This Kit became extremely popular and was still being sold today. In 1952, anotherkit was created by George Hennigan which contained everything that had been previously mentioned but also included two brushes: one for use on barrels and one for use on receivers. This Kit became very popular because it allowed users to clean both barrels and receivers at once without havingto worry about each individual brush. In 1957, three new kits were created which contained everything that had previously been mentioned but also included a dust cloth: one for use on barrels only, one for use on receivers only, and finally an executive size cloth which could be used both on barrels and receivers. The decision was made to make these Kits more affordable so that more people would be ableto purchase them. As a result, those three new Kits became known as "the Basic Gun Cleaning Kits." These Kits continued to be popular until 1987 when another newKit containing everything that had previously been mentioned but also including soap (known today as "the Soap & Water Gun Cleaning Kit")was created.
