It consisted of four bolts that attach via hexagonal nuts directly onto receiver rails, making set up much simpler than traditional Weaver style mounts as well as allowing for infinite adjustments since there is no wobble when firing from any angle! During World War II scopes became increasingly sophisticated, becoming able to take advantageof features such as crosshairs etc., meaning that these mounts eventually became obsolete in favorof new types such as reflex sights/ Monoculars/ binoculars etc.. However, some older scopes like those made by Leupold still function perfectly fine using these ancient style mounts (albeit with an increased price tag).
