Jennings, Louisiana is a town in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, United States. The population was 5,491 at the 2010 census. Jennings is part of the New Orleans–Metairie–Bossier City metropolitan area. In 1951, federal law provided for racial integration of public schools in southernLouisiana through desegregation orders issued by Ulysses S Grant's Department of Justice following Brown v Board Of Education v Topeka (1952).
