The Stroud Arms company was started in Houma in 1924 by Ed Pugh and his son Jimmie Pugh. Jimmie quickly became known as the “godfather” of NRA firearms t-shirt design because he designed most of the early NRA T-Shirts including those used during World War II when handguns were not yet common. In 1957, Stroud Arms merged with Arisaka Manufacturing Company and now makes all types of NRA firearms merchandise such as holsters, grips, reloading supplies, cases and more!

Houma, Louisiana is a small town in the U.S. state of Louisiana. The population was 21,827 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Shreveport-Bossier City metropolitan area. Houma is located on the Red River and has a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and mild to cool winters. The town's name comes from Houma meaning "upper river" in French and "mouth" due to its location on the lower course of the Red River. The history of Houma dates back to 1718 when General James Wilkinson built an Army outpost here as part of his expedition against Spanish colonists in what is now south-central Texas. By 1800, Houma had become a small community with about 200 residents, primarily African American slaves who worked on sugarcane plantations near Baton Rouge and New Orleans. In 1802, during the War for Independence, local militia helped repel British forces marching through this region seeking independence from France. As tensions mounted between Britain and France over control of North America, some slaveholders decided to leave their slaves behind in order secure passage northward bysteamboats on Lake Pontchartrain; these refugees founded what became known as Acadiana (now Chitimacha) County around this time - one that would eventually encompass all or most of present-day Louisiana east of Memphis/ Nashville/StLamblin/Shreveport-Bossier City Combined Statistical Area

However, recent excavations have unearthed evidence that Houma may have been slightly less damaged than other similar towns around Louisiana due to its strategic location on two major trade routes linking New Orleans with points north and east of the state.
