Today Crowley has become known for its annual Pumpkin Festival which features international cuisine from around the world including Vietnamese Archbishop Ngo Dinh Diem's popular restaurant "L’Auberge des Pins" serving up traditional dishes such as chicken feet and congee (a type of rice). Other attractions include two parks—one containing sporting events such as baseball, basketball and soccer; while the other includes a community center with gymnasium, art galleries and auditoriums used by local school children during morning assemblies before classes begin at nearby Lamar Community School.
