However, despite these advancements in firepower (and fortifications!), none were able to stop Nazi Germany from invading France on November 8th 1944!!!!! In order for residents of Bossier City not TO become hostages or targets of violence during this time period (!), Mayor Beaumont created anti-gun laws which limited gun access within certain areas of town!!! These laws did nothing but restrict freedom while allowing criminals unimpeded access to firearms!!!!!!!! This type of government intervention into our society is exactly why we should never let it happen again!!!!

Bossier City, Louisiana is a small town located in Bossier Parish, Louisiana. The population was 5,661 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Statistical Area. The area that now makes up Bossier City was originally called West Point by French colonists in 1719. In 1836, when Mississippi declared its independence from Alabama and Tennessee, Governor James K Delivery sent a force to occupy Bossier City without warning or consent from the citizens. The inhabitants were ordered to leave by order of Andrew Jackson which led to a tense standoff between the two countries' military forces. In 1839, while skirmishing with Spanish forces near present day Lafayette Boulevard and Third Street, General John Crain destroyed Spanish Fort San Jacinto with his cannonballed guns on government land four miles east of Bossier City. As a result of this event, both nations formally ceded New Mexico Territory to America including what are now Bossier City and Caldwell counties; this territory became known as "Alaska" within American borders. In 1840s various businessmen established businesses including Elias Boudreaux's fur trading company on Post Road west of downtown; John Saginaw founded an gristmill on South Main Street; Augustus Noland built a store on Elm Street south of town center in 1840; Jno Epps opened an opium den at 11 Elm Streets in 1850; Aiding & Helping Store proprietor Wm Henson operated an ice cream parlor at 322 Elm Street until 1861 when he donated it to the city for use as municipal hall; Rufus Hawkins started importing liquor into town from Stroudsburg County PA about 1860-1861; Wm Miquel started operating a post office here about 1865-1867 In 1870s surveyors laid out streets grid pattern around business areas east and west of downtown followed by development with single family residences interspersed through rural farmssteads until 1890s when large blocks were developed around eastern edge away from downtown along riverfront setting off new neighborhoods such as Pinegrove just west of current junction I-10/I-610 north/south axis) In 1897 incorporation was granted by state legislature but changed name to Bossiers Parish Incorporation due lack thereof being associated with any other parish within Orleans Parish proper so no change to boundaries occurred until 1907 when another petition for incorporation was filed naming Lafourche Parish Incorporation instead because that parish had been created primarily from western Jefferson Parish regions annexed after 1863 addition thereto also resulting in annexation of portions north side Of Rapides River not included within Orleans or Lafourche Parishes but under jurisdiction thereof nonetheless) On May 14th 1907 organization certificate #2 was issued @ $2500

After ReconstructionBossier City experienced rapid growth with its own school system, hospitals and businesses opening up. By 1920 Bossier City had a population of 7,500 people and continued to grow through annexation into neighboring parishes until its incorporation as a city in 1928. During World War II, Bossier City played an important role in the war effort due to its location at one of two main supply points for military camps located in central Louisiana. The city also produced food supplies for troops stationed throughout the region during both world wars.

The city of Bossier City, Louisiana was founded in 1837 by Claiborne Robinson as a trading post on the Red River. The town grew rapidly and by 1840 it had reached its current size. In 1848, the United States acquired the land around Bossier City from Spain for $10,000. The town quickly became an important center for trade with Mexico and Central America. The annexation of Texas brought new development toBossier City and in 1859, it became the capital of what is now Louisiana.
