It is part of the New Orleans–Metairie–Bossier City Metropolitan Statistical Area. - The first people to live in Bossier City were the Caddo Indians. This influx of new residents stimulated businesses and economy growth that has continued through present day. - In 1872, two years after JTTF took control of St Mary’s Parish from Roman Catholic Bishop George Woods Jr., a group of businessmen formed a company to develop tracts of land north of downtown called “The Land Company” because it would be their primary focus for investment until they could build a more permanent headquarters and storehouse on Boulevard Saint Laurent Street near Redemptorist Church (now just eastbound I‑10 exit 127). This initial development led to many names change throughout its tenure including “The Land Company Warehouse Company” before finally becoming known as The Business Center Corporation (BCC) which stands today as one of LSU’s most iconic landmarks located inside what was once GEICO building #2 on Blvd Saint Laurent Street across from UL Lafayette School (now UL Lafayette Library). BCC quickly became an important cultural hub within BossiersCity with its own music hall/mall/nightlife district and developed close relationships with other urban centers such as New Orleans and even outlived St. Peterburg where it originally headquartered; continuing this trend through post World War II decades until its eventual closure in 1984 due mainly to economic factors related to suburbanization throughout Jefferson Parish while local business thrived unaffected outside that jurisdiction.– Today much like when it originally functioned bossierscity had several popular nightlife destinations such as Laffitte's Lounge on Magazine Street just northeast corner Of Elysian Fields Avenue & Constitution Avenue also home to some upscale restaurants including Zocalo Mexican Grill next door open late into the evening without any cover or ID required!
