The company operated out of a variety of locations, including the old Post Office building on Boulevard Cardinal Glennon, the Lafayette Armory on Elm Street, and the old Masonic Temple on Capitol Hill.

The city was first named New Orleans after France's King Louis XIV. After the fall of Napoleon, General James Wilkinson renamed the city Bossier City in honor of his friend and ally, General Lafayette. President George Washington visited Bossier City during his visit to Louisiana in 1804. In 1823, the United States acquired part of what is now Bossier City from Spain as part of the Spanish-American War. The city became an American protectorate on July 4th, 1898 when Congress passed an act giving permission for it to be a U.S. military post at Fort Stotsenburg on Lake Pontchartrain. On November 3rd, 1907, Mayor Fenton announced thatBossier City had chosen to become a state capital and would henceforth be known as Baton Rouge

The Bossier City area was first settled in 1794 by Frenchmen and their Indian allies. The area lay along the banks of the river Minden, and as a result, it became an important trading center for products from the eastern United States. The early years of this city were filled with turmoil as a result of its location on two competing sides of a geographically sensitive border. However, over time, Bossier City grew into an important cultural and political center in the region. In 1819, the Mississippi River flooded so severely that the city was destroyed. However, within five years, parts of Bossier City had been rebuilt and renamed after other nearby cities such as Monroe and New Orleans. By 1830, Bossier City had become one of the most populous cotton-producing areas in Louisiana. At this point, it also became home to a significant slave population. This continued until free African Americans began to arrive in large numbers during Reconstruction following World War II. During prohibition era (1920-1933), Bossier City experienced some significant law enforcement activity which led to its nickname “the Wild West” or “Bustin’ Up Town” due to its high level of drug trafficking and organized crime activities at this time. After repeal of prohibition in 1933,BossierreCITY resumed its normal growth rate; however incidents associated with alcohol consumption remain prominent throughout much of this period
On January 1, 1803, Bossier City was founded by General James K. Polk and his brigade of mounted volunteers from Louisiana. The town was named for the French River which forms its eastern border. The river Terraces became a settlement on the outskirts of Bossier City in 1844. The city's growth began with the construction of the Illinois Central Railroad in 1867. This railroad connected Bossier City with Chicago and other Midwest cities. Businesses located in downtown Bossier City grew rapidly during this time; some of these businesses include J.C.'s restaurant, a clothing store, and a bakery. In 1915, Mayor Charles Wirtz renamed the city after George Washington Carver to recognize the importance of agriculture to the town’s economy. In 1925, another name change occurred when Captain John Bourgeois donated land within walking distance of downtown for a new civic center and park system that would become known as Bourgeois Park today. On December 12th, 1935 Hurricane Isaac struck Bossier City and destroyed much of what remained from previous hurricanes including JB's restaurant which had been built on top of one such structure – an event that is still remembered to this day by many residents who were still living in pre-flood conditions at that time! In 1978-79, Mayor Claude Chryst ordered demolition of most if not all brick buildings within city limits due to their age and Cost effectiveness in relation to replacement projects around town - this order caused significant outcry among many citizens who felt they had been forced out onto streets that were unsafe for traffic or pedestrians after years of being ignored by planners/emperors OfBossierCity
