In recent decades, Bogalusa has seen strong growth as an agricultural town – thanks in part to dry weather conditions that have allowed farmers to expand their operations into new areas such as Canal Zone land east of downtown; advances in technology that have made seed multiplication easier and more efficient than ever before; and increased access to capital and education that has helped drive innovation within its businesses and community members alike.
