Baker is located on I-10 just south of Stroudsburg outside of New Orleans proper; it's easily accessible from both Interstate 10 and interstate 95 (I-10) eastbound through Iverne to Stroudsburg westbound which forms its border with Metairie to the north and west while also serving as a link between Baton Rouge eastbound (I-10) into New Orleans proper via exit 164A/Upper Broadway Street before continuing east on Boulevard Saint John then turning south onto US Highway 90W which becomes US Highway 190E before reaching its northern terminus at exit 7A/Hwy 86 northwest of Lafayette on Lake Pontchartrain Boulevard
