Harry Ackerhoff's widow, Hazel Haggerty Ackerhoff, continued to run the business until her retirement in 1985. The grocery store opened its doors on November 13th 1905 under the ownership of Jules Beesly and remains operational to this day as one of Baton Rouge's oldest businesses still running today! In 1954, Mayor Coleman Wooten dedicated an annual award recognizing excellence in local government service to Mrs. Hazel Haggerty Ackerhoff for her many years of dedication to baking goods for citizens throughout Baton Rouge! She currently presides over the city council which meets monthly at City Hall located off US Highway 90 near I-10 where she continues her leadership role through ceremonial occasions such as biannual meetings/consultation process on important issues facing city staff; ordinances passed during each meeting are then made into law without further action by the councilmember; assists with all aspects of document preparation (ordinances & resolutions); provides support both during Council meetings as well as Committee hearings when needed; actively participates with other governmental entities within parish including parish jail; public Works Director position has been held vacant since October 2016 due TO lack of qualifications

Baker assumed command of Union forces defeating multiple Confederate efforts to capture Baton Rouge from General Jackson’s army during the Battle at Baton Rouge Bridge; he then moved his forces westward across Lafourche Parish towards Thibodaux where he successfully besieged Jackson’s army for three days before withdrawing back into Union lines near Vicksburg on July 1stiano 4th1836- A day after this battle General Bakers body lay buried at Pointe Coupée National Cemetery #4 about 3 miles (5 km) northwest of modern day Livingston Avenue in unincorporated Tiger Tail parish .
