In 1938, Colonel Edward Haggerty purchased the Gun Shop from Standard Oil Company and renamed it The Haggerty Armory Museum (now part of LSU). colonel haggerty was an important figure in American arms history and spent many years trying to collect all sorts of weaponry including guns from around the world. He donated many weapons to this museum including some from Revolutionary War era America! In 1951, Colonel Haggerty also started selling gun mags through his museum which helped promote firearm ownership among school children throughout Louisiana! Baker, Louisiana is a small town in eastern Louisiana. The population was 1,794 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Lafayette Parish government and is located on the east side of Baton Rouge. The name Baker comes from William Baker, who settled in what is now Baker Township in 1827. The community consolidated with neighboring townships in 1902 to form a new parish called Lafayette Parish. In 1920, it became a city and was renamed Baton Rouge. As Baton Rouge grew larger and more diverse, its citizens began to call themselves "Bakerians." When Boulevard des allemands opened up through central Baton Rouge in the early 1990s, many people decided to move there because of its access to quality jobs that would support their families. Since 2000, various efforts have been made to attract businesses and residents back to Bakertown-Lafayetteville area including: a business park adjacent to Interstate 10; construction of an interstate interchange improvements project near downtown; and encouragement by state leaders for local businesses to increase their output by creating new industries such as information technology or healthcare consulting services. These efforts are also intended to reduce traffic congestion on I-10 and improve public safety by increasing production at local companies along I-10

Baker, Louisiana is a small town in southwestern Louisiana. The population was 1,868 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Shreveport-Bossier City metropolitan area. Baker was founded by Samuel Baker in 1814 on the banks of the Atchafalaya River as an early settlement for planters seeking to escape violence and religious persecution in nearby Mobile, Alabama. In 1827, Samuel Baker's son, Johnathan Baker, moved his family to what is now Baker from a plantation near New Orleans. The town's first school was built in 1829 on land donated by local resident David Humphreys. The first post office opened in 1840 and became known as "Bakerville." A courthouse was built in 1851 and named for Johnathan Baker III (1811-1879), father of Johnathan II and Samuel III who both served as Mayor of Shreveport from 1865 to 1870 and 1880 to 1886 respectively. In 1892, following the incorporation of neighboring Alexandria into Jefferson Parish (later Rapides Parish), Shreveport annexed parts of Baker west of I-10 which included what are now downtown Alexandria and parts of northbound I-10 east of Veterans Boulevard. By 1920, all but two blocks south of Veterans were within Alexander parish boundaries; this changed with Statehood when Rapides became Jefferson Parish on November 3rd 1912 Samuel J., Jr.'s Store & Cafe located at 901 S Broad Street closed its doors permanently due to Hurricane Katrina damage on September 29th 2005 after serving more than 30 years during one continuous occupancy throughout Katrina aftermath Today most people know about: The annual parade that takes place on Saturday morning around Pioneer Courthouse Square

In 1851, it reverted to its original name before becoming an independent county in 1865. In 1902, Baker had its own school system which lasted until 1959 when it merged with neighboring Livingston Parish schools. In 1915, Baker became a city and has since grown into one of the most populous communities in northwestern Louisiana. It is home to various industries including manufacturing, farming, retail trade and transportation services.
