On October 8th that year, Mrs Dora Jarrell (born December 10th 1933), widow of First Lieutenant Bob Jarrell who served with distinction during World War II as a combat engineer with Company C 137th Engineer Regiment (the "Bluegrass"), died at age 73 years old from cancer complications caused by exposure to Agent Orange while volunteering as an ambulance driver with the US Army's 1st Cavalry Division near Khe Sanh Cambodia on April 25th 1969 while serving as Commandor Resident Nurse under Captain Harry Wetherbee commanding Company MOS 391026 assigned to Company H Task Force 173 which attached to elements 2nd Battalion 501st Infantry Regiment (the "Fighting Cardinals") under Lieutenant Colonel George Pemberton Jr., Commander 3rd Brigade Combat Team 1st Cavalry Division - - -- - - - [1]
