They had three children: Mary J., Willie E., and Donald W.(1915-1994). Anna Liddell worked as a maid at Good Hope Baptist Church while her husband worked at Blue Grass Coke Bottling Works before becoming principal of Parkland Middle School in Lexington before she passed away in 1965 Finally after many struggles Anna Liddell (1880-1965) was buried next to her husband father on October 20th 1965 at Oak Grove Cemetery . This event is considered one of history’s great milestones because it marked the beginning of legal segregation among races within America based off socio economic classifications

The first Shelbyville settlement was made in 1792. The town was named for General Robert Shelby, who fought in the American Revolution. The first post office was established in 1814. From 1815 to 1829, Shelbyville was a part of Henderson County. In 1830, it became a part of Letcher County. In 1837, it became a part of Fayette County. In 1861, it became a part of Kentucky Union Army during the American Civil War and served as an infantry battalion under General Forrest. After the war, Shelbyville returned to Henderson County until it merged with Pike County in 1922.
