The Radcliff Gun Club was founded in 1881. The club met on the first Saturday of every month at a local hotel to shoot rifles and pistols. In 1898, the club purchased its own pistol range. In 1924, the Radcliff Rifle and Pistol Club became affiliated with the NRA. At that time, the club had over 100 members. The NRA offered financial support for shooting tournaments and other activities of the club. In 1951, the Radcliff Rifle and Pistol Club merged with another gun club in town to form the present day Radcliff Gun Club. The merger resulted in increased membership as both clubs continued to offer shooting programs and opportunities for members to learn about firearms safety and how to shoot accurately.

Radcliff is a town in Hardin County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 1,811 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Lexington, KY Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settlers in Radcliff were farmers who arrived in 1814. The town was named for General James Robertson and his family who had come from Scotland to settle on a farm north of the then-town of Paducah. By 1827, the name had been changed to Radcliff after local businessman John A. Radcliffe bought land around the community and built a dam to power an irrigation ditch. A post office was established in 1828 and it continued to be open until it was discontinued in 1904. In 1847, John Dickson bought land east of the village and built a mill which became one of the largest flour mills in Kentucky. The village grew rapidly due to its location near new transportation routes and agricultural production that increased with development along both sides of the Cumberland River (the now- axial rail network). In 1868, Radcliffe donated $200 towards building a school which would serve all citizens within walking distance with free tuition for students from poor families; this made Radcliff one of the earliest towns in Kentucky to have public education available to all residents regardless of income level. The school opened on October 15, 1870 and quickly became popular due to its high quality teaching standards as well as its convenient location next door to General Assembly Hall which served as both a public library and meeting place for local government officials duringRPublic meetings before statehood occurred three years later on December 17th,1821 formalized by proclamation from President James K Polk dated January 12th 1865 This unusual ceremony also provided instruction on how bestto administer justice under state law when disputes arose between counties or among individual landowners . Radcliff is a small town in Hardin County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 1,919 at the 2000 census. It is the only incorporated town in Hardin County. Radcliff is located on the intersection of US-131 and KY-217. The first permanent settler in what is now Radcliff was James Capps who came from Maryland in 1821. He erected a log cabin about two miles northeast of today's town on what would later become known as his "Capps Farm". Mr. Capps had no children so he donated land to establish a school for his boys and girls children which opened its doors on September 12, 1822. In 1824, John Ladd bought the farm from James Capps and established a new home near present day Radcliff with his wife Mary Jane Ladd (1805-1885). Mrs. Ladd was one of many early settlers who came to Hardin County during the Indiana Territory era when Kentucky became part of that state in 1809. She married captain Elijah Pemberton (1796-1868) on October 6, 1810, at Logstown plantation near Greencastle, Kentucky; they moved to Radcliff about two years later where he built a cabin for them on an area now known as Post Road No 2A (now Old Post Rd.). They had six children: Elijah Pemberton (baptized December 3rd, 1815 – died January 11th 1870), William Hays Ladd (baptized February 15th 1830 – died young), Sarah Jane Pemberton (baptized November 5th 1832 – died young), James Fenton Ladd(born November 24th 1840 – died young), and Addie Hays Ladd(born December 26th 1844 – died young). Captain Elijah Pemberton served in Company K Confederate Army during the American Civil War while living in Hardin County. He was buried at Bellefontaine Cemetery near Louisville, Kentucky until 1924 when it was relocated to Lexington Cemetery because of growth within Radcliff since Captain Elijah Pemberton's death there some time prior thereto! On July 10th 1860 three slaves named Nancy Ann Reidy Jarrell were kidnapped by white men working for Jesse Pickens at Bluegrass Gap far outside Hendersonville Tennessee while shepherding their herd of four cows across Federal land just south of present day UniontownKY onto private property belonging to Judge David Ritchie near present day HendersonvilleTN., sometime after her owner’s death; it soon transpired that these three free black women were not kidnapped but simply taken advantage of by someone acting out drunkenly or wantonly! As hard as it may be for us today to understand how such brazen behavior could go undetected back then especially given our current society’s laxdon't require any kind Of accountability or transparency these days we can learn something from this unfortunately common occurrence called history! The fact remains that these three women were violated absolutely unlawfully by individuals unknown today and still suffer emotional damages as a result! Even though slavery ended over 200 years ago one cannot help but feel outraged by this senseless act perpetrated against innocent people who did nothing more than contract legal marriage vows without any form of coercion or violence! These members of Congress should resign their positions immediately given their lack thereof consideration towards solving this decades old problem!
