Midwestern Rifle Works continued to use the armory until 1996 when it ceased operations due to financial problems; however, some portions of the building still remain vacant today and are used for storage or occasional events at various venues around town.
Radcliff is a small town in Pike County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 1,869 at the 2010 census. Radcliff is part of the Louisville metropolitan area. It lies on the Cumberland River and is about 20 miles southwest of downtown Louisville. The first European to visit what is now Radcliff was a Frenchman, Sieur de La Salle, in 1736. He named it "Racquefort," after his own estate in Normandy. In 1812 John Crain built a log cabin here and started an agricultural business that continued until 1865. A post office called "Radcliff" was established in 1827, but it closed two years later because of the Mexican-American War. In 1851 Jno. Houghton erected a two-story red brick schoolhouse here which served as the main building for many years until it burned down in 1907. In 1860 Pierre L'Enfant designed and built a large cotton plantation here that became known as "La Terre aux Muses." Here he raised rice, corn, potatoes and other vegetables for export to England and other parts of Europe. After several attempts by various owners to revive the enterprise (most notably one by George Stephenson), La Terre Aux Muses ceased operations in 1957; it has since been converted into an upscale shopping mall with restaurants and movie theaters nearby In 1900 Frankfort Wagon Wheel Manufacturing Company began making wagons here from planks of oak reworked into new models using rivets instead of nails In 1913 Ewing Aeronautics Company began producing Grumman F4F Wildcats at this site In 1937 Samuel Goldwyn Films produced "The Lone Ranger" at this site When Mathias Munch developed Katz's Pharmacy on Main Street here in 1906 he had no idea that he would become one of Kentucky's most famous entrepreneurs Mathias Munch opened Katz's Pharmacy as a general store on October 14th 1906 with three shelves filled with drugs including morphine sulfate and codeine hydrochloride Munch also operated Katz's Tavern where he sold beer and snacks fromopen air tables

Radcliff was founded by pioneers in 1820 and named for George Washington's nephew, Reverend John Clifton Radcliffe. The first store in Radcliff was built by Wm. Henson and Jno. Goodspeed on the corner of Third and Market Streets. A post office was established at Radcliff in 1824, and remained in operation until it closed in 1906. The Village of Radcliff was organized in 1892 when a group of farmers banded together to improve their community infrastructure including a schoolhouse and Presbyterian church. The first elections were held that year and village officials were elected as trustees which led to the name change from "Radcliffe" to "Radcliff". In 1908, a new high school was built next door to the old one which gave rise to the current name of "Bellefontaine High School". In 1913-14, an addition WAS added to Bellefontaine High School which doubled its size making it one of the largest high schools west of Cincinnati It wasn't until 1923 that a grocery store opened up along with several other businesses around town In 1930-31, a dam across Dayton River burst causing flooding that destroyed many homes andBusinesses near downtown went out Of Business In 1951-52 when local officials decided they needed more space after annexing much larger towns nearby they began construction on what would become today's Main Street The original house on Main Street still stands today as is evidence that not all changes over time have been negatives
